Do not usually think of KOA when I have a tent. This KOA had a large, separate, forested area just for tents. Was secluded, quiet and yet close enough to walk to the bathroom, rec center and pool. Clean bathrooms, and free showers. Good price for tenting. Adorable town.

Nice clean and close to town. But the train tracks run next to the camp ground and you can feel the ground move and it sounds like you are going to get run over by the trains that seem to pass by all night long. I guess if you stay in town you might feel the same way. I do... More

The facilities are very good accept for the cable tv which provides many channels but generally snowy. I understand that this problem may be isolated to only a few sites and is being addressed. (I stayed in my travel trailer.) The WiFi can also be spotty. BUT the campground is always well groomed and the bathroom/showers are very clean. The... More

Really nice campground- I have never met nicer staff and so helpful. We were going to go to Shasta caverns and I was going to pay to take the boat over and wait for my family as the tour would have been to much for my poor knees. The KOA girl told me a much nicer and free place to... More

We could not get a strong enough wifi signal even though we were in a space directly in front of the office and paying for hookups and wifi. This in inexcusable with such a compact layout and with the KOA located in a town. No view of Mt Shasta from the campground area so that was a bust as well.... More

My family of 4 stopped here on our way home from our road trip. We wanted warmth and a pool. The weather was nice, the pool was small and as cold as Lake Siskiyou. Burr! The RV spots are ok. Our spot didn't have a picnic table an we were located right next to a mobile home park. A train... More

Stayed here with friends for 3 nights in a deluxe cabin. It was small but clean and needed some attention as the blinds were all ripped up and so on. For the price of 143.00 a night I thought it to be overpriced for sure. The grounds were clean but very close together on the sites not only for cabins... More

This was my first time staying in a KOA and I was a little disappointed. I'll start with the positives...friendly staff, playground, swimming pool, game room, clean and modern shower facility. The negatives (at least in my opinion), sites are very close to each other, the facility lacks grassy areas that would give it a more park-like setting, and the... More

Friendly staff but that's about it. Dirt roads lead to dust all over everything; cramped sites so close together that our picnic table was 8' from the neighbor's sewer hookup; less than half the sites have shade trees. Our site was in full sunshine from 10 am to 7pm so we could not sit outside and enjoy the day. We... More

My visit started by listening to a staff member having a profanity laced personal phone call in front of the office. Not the best first impression. The grounds are nice and well kept, however, the cabin I was in was run down and in need of maintenance, as were the restrooms and other public facilities. Overall it just seems like... More
