The Rockview is a motel which has undergone a recent renovation. There's not a huge amount of choice along the coast and Morro Bay is a good place for a pit stop between San Francisco and L.A. – a nice town with decent restaurants and waterfront. The hotel is clean and the renovation helps but points such as the aircon... More

• Not even a 1 star - EXTREMELY overpriced - in fact, we spoke with two other patrons - we were charged $289 a night over a 3-day holiday weekend, plus stayed a 4th night - one patron was charged $163 a night (which included all taxes) and the other patron was charged $90 night (not including tax) - when... September last year, our family of three (2 adults 1 child) stayed here. When we wanted the heating on, they had to come in and lit it because the pilot light wasn't working. Next, they had to come and plunge the toilet! I must admit, the bedding was nice but were in a terrible location. The water pressure in the... More

They have good prices and the rooms are nice and clean. New Indian owners are friendly. Nice view of Morro Rock and an excellent location. Giovanni's is right down the street as well as the French pastry place. Easy walk to the boardwalk. We will stay here again.

We decided to go with this motel as it was one of the only vacancies left between Pismo beach and Cyucos.. talk about regret, I figured with the extremely over priced rate of $225 per night that I could expect at least a half way decent room for one night.. I was completely wrong it starts off with the check... More

This facility was just "Ok." I was disappointed with the overall look of the facility. It was kind of dumpy and looked like much deferred maintenance. The lobby you walk into register was very kind of seedy. Not very welcoming. I had no desire to even check out breakfast as I didn't want to eat there. The room looked somewhat... More

The city is on the way to visit Hearst Castle and we chose this motel just to sleep, trusting previous reviews, so we expected much better appearance and services. The entrance-reception-breakfast place is ridiculously small, not more than six square metres, and there you pay, get information, and have breakfast in a unique table with two chairs. The double room... More

We stayed here for one night on our way from SF to LA, and overall it's a nice and affordable place to stay. The service was ok, they reduced the room rate when we said we'd check some other places. Our double queen size bed was great, all renovated with great beds. The bathroom was very good, too. The WiFi... More

Stopped in to Morro Bay for a few nights and stayed here. Great service, very clean rooms and the location was one com from the water. Owners were extremely nice and helpful. The king size bed was newer and great!

My weekend of camping was derailed when it turned out I picked the busiest weekend of the year to go camping and had to get a hotel. A dog friendly hotel at that. I found a WONDERFUL spot in Rockview Inn and Suites! If you were there a few years ago--this in not the same place. The new owners have... More
