This hotel was a hit with us on every level. The reception staff who checked us in were friendly and efficient. The location of the Inn is stunning. We sat in the bar at a window table and drank not only our fine per-dinner drinks, but we also drank in the magical views and fabulous wild life. We witnessed a... More

We stayed there in May 2012 (6 couples) and were greeted by the lovely young receptionist who organised our rooms and couldn't do more to help us. The restaurant looked amazing with a beautiful outlook, but as we had plans already we didn't eat there. We were on a road trip and enjoyed the sumptuous bed, clean and inviting rooms... More

Where should i start ! Over priced ! Best rooms were tatty ! Walls are paper thin ! Worse Breakfast since i arrived in the US 20 years ago. Looks great on line and from the outside but don't be deceived this place might have been great a few years ago but it need a lot of TLC now.

We spent a night here on our way from LA to SFO. Pity it was so short. The hotel is located right in/near a state park making it a great place to go hiking, biking or just for a walk. The room we stayed in overlooked the bay. The restaurant in the hotel shuts at 8 pm, which is a... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel over the 4th of July. In the morning we enjoyed birding next to the hotel where there is a rookery for cormorants and blue herons. What a treat. Then on the FOURTH we enjoyed the fireworks from the terrace of the hotel with a glass of wine.It cannot get better then this.... More

I stayed here many times while visiting my two children who attended cal poly. We and my family loved the entire hotel. I am sad to say this is no longer the case. They took out the hot tubs which used to be on every balcony. The breakfast is now minimal and you have to pay for items which were... More

Management response:

Thank you for your thoughtful review. To address your comments: During our recent renovation we found it necessary to remove the hot tubs from the balconies of our guestrooms (with the exception of the Cottage) and installed a brand new hot tub in our pool area (which we also renovated). To avoid the previous practice of leaving all buffet items... More

this used to be such a delightful escape. unfortunately, the inn has lost its excellence. It's a bit run down, the fabulous restaurant has been replaced by service in the bar area, with 1 waiter for those who showed up, and a very small mediocre menu. The salmon was indeed good, but what happened to this wonderful place. The grounds... More

The location is great and the Inn grounds are charming ... but the WiFi service is very bad in the evening, to the point of being unusable. When calling the reception about this the answer was nothing could be done ... it happens often ... and it will come back up 'eventually', which is to be translated into "when all... More

As part of the Great American Road Trip (GART): West Coast edition, I flew to LAX, picked up Soap Opera Dude, and we drove to Morro Bay as our first stop. We took the scenic Cabrillo Highway (colloquially known as the Pacific Coast Highway) on a leisurely 3-hour drive to the charming seaside town of Morro Bay on the Central... More

First off…thank-you for the feedback! I found it to be straight forward, while offering a fair estimate of our property. We must hear this feedback from our guests to continue growing as a successful hotel.
