My husband and I spent three days here over Thanksgiving. The best way to give readers an idea of what this place is like is to list the pro's and con's. You'll see that the "pro's" outweigh the "con's," hence the 4 stars. PRO's 1. Great location. This hotel served as our hub, taking day trips from the inn to... More

Three blissful days and nights. Very courteous staff, from Front Desk to Housekeeping. My room was spotless, the bed & bath linens were spotless. The view was fabulous- great weather. The splashing of the bait fish being chased by seals, the hundreds of birds diving into the water. OMG! And the Monarchs in Morro Bay & Pismo State Parks. I'm blessed.... More

I was surprised to see how much the ratings in Trip Advisor had fallen so much this last year. We have stayed their in the past and did not pick up on all the little things that are bringing their ratings down. The location and surroundings are spectacular. We enjoyed the 86 degrees heating pool, although we are not sure... More

Thank you for your recent stay with us and your insightful review. We are very excited to begin the renovation of the Inn – it is truly a gem on the Central coast. The issues you have touched upon will be addressed with the renovation which began the week of November 28th. The renovation will be very strategic, ensuring minimal... More

Stayed in ocean view King w/hot tub room. Nice & peaceful, beautiful view of Rock and Harbor, especially at night. Had very little fog, hotel next to nesting area so cool to see cranes, etc. in trees with young chicks. Only minus is tiny bathroom. Hotel Restaurant was very nice, as was the staff. Walking distance to other restaurants. Morro... More

This property, although a bit dated, has the most wonderful location quietly tucked away along the inlet while offering wonderful views of the Rock of Morro Bay from its restaurant and breakfast room. The main reception area adjoining the restaurants have trees on either side which are a natural bird sanctuary and you can wake up to the relaxing bird... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn at Morro Bay. Firstly, what a delightful surprise. We were travelling the US from Australia and our stay here ended up being one of our biggest highlights. Staff were exceptional and made us feel so welcome. The Inn is actually in the State Park at Morro Bay with scenic views. The... More

If you are a birdwatcher, you should definitely stay here. This hotel is actually located inside a state park and DIRECTLY adjacent to a rookery. Great views. Nice touches of high class luxury at an affordable price. I was able to afford a room with a hot tub, which was very clean (they drain and clean the hot tubs after... More

This hotel might be romantic due to the view. There's no denying the bay is beautiful and you've got a clear view of Morro rock. The balcony for our room had a hot tub, which we did not use. Unfortunately, there wasn't as much privacy as we'd have liked. The guests in the adjoining room were on their balcony and... More

Our two night stay was less than pleasent. Upon check in, we did have a great front desk personel. The room which was way overpriced had no dresser or other place to put your clothes. The bathroom was so small that there was not even a place to put your tooth brush or razor on the sink. The shower was... More

First of all let me mention that I purchased a one night stay off of a third party hotel website. They might have better rooms for full price paying customers. During a trip of over 30 days on the road, this is the only hotel that I regret staying at. The hotel was probably popular in the 70's. It is... More
