When I booked this room on line the pictures looked pretty good. When we arrived the girl at the front desk was Miss No Personality and gave us a room overlooking the pool. There is a pretty high fence around the pool, so there is no view from the ground floor rooms. We were put in room 311 which was... More

The evening and dawn chorus of birdsong is about as transcendent as i've experienced at a hotel. Love it! So peaceful. Today we saw parents feeding their juvenile cormorants and I felt so lucky. On another note: For the deluxe prices we're paying wish the bathroom had a tub... . And the hotel had a resto.

Frankly we were really disappointed. We arrived at 3:30 to be told by a really curt receptionist that we were 30 minutes too early. I then witnessed a couple arriving immediately after me that they could check in even though the room was not yet ready!!! When we returned at 4:30, we had to wait behind a queue for the,... More

The standout feature of this hotel is its location at the edge of a state park with a beautiful view of Morro Bay and Morro Rock. The sunsets from here are spectacular, and the state park next door provides a great place to walk or run (watch out for the cars, though, since the shoulders are next to nonexistent!). The... More

We have been going to Morro Bay Inn for many years. Fifteen?? Wow. Over the years it has made some changes. We stay in the garden view rooms. We love the fireplaces and the quaintness of the hotel. We stayed along with three other couples. The rooms that we had we were told were two of five that were remodeled.... More

Before booking our stay through a LivingSocial special we were a little concerned with the mixed reviews from previous guests. Luckily, we were pleasantly surprised by the Inn at Morro Bay. We rented a King Deluxe room on the second floor of their middle building. The room was spacious, newly remodeled, and had a wonderful bay view. The bed was... More

I was looking for a hotel which was quiet and something with a view. Surroundings quiet but the people in the unit above us were making noise until about midnight. The complex looks over the harbour but even though we were facing that way we had to step out of our unit and then step up onto a concert area... More

Stayed here for one night whilst travelling from LA to San Francisco, upon arrival found out that major renovations were taking place and nothing was open like bar or restaurants. Wasn't informed about the work beforehand or would have cancelled. Room was just ok with nothing worth mentioning and WiFi was terrible or non- existent, Went to Morro Bay for... More

We stayed here one night during the week to take a break from LA during the summer. The hotel is located in a lovely spot, south of the main town and next to the golf course and parkland that abuts on the bay. You can walk from the hotel to a small marina where you can rent kayaks and have... More

We had a room facing the bay which had been recently refurbished so our stay was decent. Really were no problems but the motel seemed to lack a certain amount of charm. The continental breakfast was adequate. Moro Bay is a delightful old fishing town with great scenery and some good seafood restaurants.
