There had to have been at least 100 cormorants in the trees next to our room AND they're not noisy! Hotel is going through a remodel so there is no dining room or bar but a full ocean view room in building #4 is beautiful. This was a staycation 20 miles from home but we stayed 2 nights and it... Rooms were terrific. Desk employees very polite and helpful. Quiet location between golf course and ocean. Breakfast included was of very good quality. Very nice lounge and restaurant area. Not walking distance to downtown however.

We've been to Morro Bay numerous times, but never to stay as we had family in the area. Came here for 2 nights and decided to stay at the Inn. I've been intrigued by its marvelous location amid the trees, across the street from a golf course, and on the bay. I was aware that the lobby, restaurant, and other... More

This hotel is really something. It is right on the water over looking the bay. Waking up to that view was gorgeous. They are going through a huge renovation at the moment, noise was not a factor, just be prepared. We were told what the future plans were and I am definitely coming back to see the final touches. This... More

We were apparently in a recently renovated room, it already appeared shabby and dirty! The bed sheets are bobbly, full of hair and smelt of smoke. Overall very basic and disappointing, by far the worst place I have stayed in the USA, avoid it if you can.

When we booked to stay at Morro Bay we weren't told that there were renovations going on and that the restaurant was undergoing a refurb and that our breakfast would be only continental with plastic plates, cups etc. For what they were charging it was a very disappointing stay and we were not impressed with the receptionist, she was not... Reserved a bay view King room. The room I was given while facing the bay would be better described as car/parking lot view. In addition it was two doubles not a king. When I asked to be moved to the bay view king I had reserved and paid for I was told all rooms were occupied, no apologies, no offer... More

We are really not too picky in our travels, have stayed in 5 star in Manhattan and 2 star in Paso Robles, this place is no 3-4 star hotel. First rooms were not ready even though the property seemed fairly vacant with no cars/ guests. Then the renovations, no food/bar. A previous reveiwer mentioned about the noise from the ice... More

Booked our rooms in February for September and not Labor Day. Renovations were being done which we were not informed of when we booked the the room nor two weeks prior when we called to confirm our reservation. We could not get our rooms on time, the ladies at the "front desk" were so much less than pleasant, the ice... More

Beautiful view, with a large balcony, clean, classic, but there is only a shower, no tub, and there is nowhere on the website that notifies you there is no tub. I would have never booked three nights if I had know there was no bathtub.
