We came here for a one night stopover on our way down the Coastal Highway to San Francisco. Morro Bay doesn't seem that charming in daylight, but the views of the towering Morro Rock are impressive, and so is the bird-life in the Bay. The hotel is in need of an update (especially the bathrooms). It seems to mostly appeal... More

This hotel is beautiful and in the heart of Morro Bay. I found my room to be comfortable and the staff to be friendly, courteous and accommodating! They offer wi-fi which the connection is good, the room has a lovely view of the bay or the garden, it was calm, quiet and peaceful!

Before writing this, I've read many reviews on this and other sites to see if perhaps it was just bad luck for me & my girlfriend, but it is clear that, while the location of this "off the beaten path" property is superior, the owners/management should not be trusted to run a lemonade stand, much less a motel. It is... More

Beautiful location facing the bay. The property is inside the state park so it's serene and private, lots of birds everywhere. We walked from hotel to the marina where we rented a double kayak for 2 hrs. It was windy and quite choppy but we made it back safe. Tip: The Marina Cafe serves great lunch so have some coffee... This hotel offers nice west facing (sunset) views over Morro Bay, and its famous rock. It is conveniently located for the excellent local golf course. It has recently been refurbished, and the rooms are clean, with all the required amenities. So why only 3 stars ? We stayed in July, and the room was too hot to sleep comfortably ...... More

Unaware that the restaurant had not reopened and some construction materials would be there; disappointing. The good part of that is we tried new restaurants in Morro Bay which we had not done as much in the past. Who designed that impractical bathroom? Take a course in functionality.

I needed to book last minute in Morro Bay and my usual hotels were all booked. I saw this hotel had some not so good reviews and a 3 stars but I still took a chance. I was so pleasantly surprised when I drove out to the property, it's just past the entrance to the State Park. Plenty of parking.... More

Very pleased with the Inn a Morro Bay. The only disappointing thing is we only stayed here one night on our way down to LA. All our rooms were outstanding. Were quite large with all the facilities you need. Outstanding views looking out over the bay (i think these views are only available on the second floor so check that... More

The service was excellent and the property location was great. Very close to everything but not too close. The bathroom had pedastle sinks which meant zero counter space which is very impractible for travelers, especially women. Absolutely nowhere to put toiletries. The showers are designed so that it is impossible to get out from under the water stream which made... More

We stayed from Wednesday to Friday and got a good deal on Hotel Tonight. They were kind to honor our request and give us a 2nd story room (room 324) with a view of the bay. Highly recommend staying on the 2nd floor since 1st floor rooms seem small with no balcony. It was a quick drive to everything in... More
