We stayed here for a night just after Labor Day, so the hotel was quiet. Our room was a little dated but the view made up for any deficiencies. We spent hours watching the pelicans and seals working the fish shoals. Being on the edge of th State Park means that there are good walks right from the hotel. The... more

One can't beat having a room over the water looking at a haystack rock and a beautiful bay. The room had every amenity and was cleaned like you would clean your own home. The owners are perfect hosts and make you feel welcome. It is somewhat expensive but totally worth it. The restaurant conveniently located downstairs is a nice source... more

My family and I decided to go to Morro Bay for the day and unexpectedly, decided to stay the night. After checking prices around town at a few other hotels near the water, we ended up driving a little out to find Inn at Morro Bay. We expected the place to be way overpriced, just by how beautiful the place... more

Booked the Inn at Morro Bay for a romantic few days as part of a california road trip. Hotel website led me to believe the hotel was a secluded retreat, with nice rooms and hot tubs included in the premium rooms. Sorely disappointed on arrival, not much in Morro Bay and the landscape is blighted by a power startion on... more

We have been staying here for at least ten years, often twice a year to break the drive from LA to the Bay Area. The location is unbeatable and we have stayed in all sorts of rooms, ranging from OK to really wonderful. The beds are always comfortable and the place is always really clean. The bar is a lovely... more

"Crunch, Crunch, Snore" would be the hotels unique ability, with the use of paper thin walls, to allow it's guests to hear the crunching footsteps in the room above, along with the snoring of the person in the room next door (No, I am not joking, they must have run short on wall insulation). The Inn at Morro Bay is... more

I recommend taking advantage of one of the specials. My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights and received the 4th night free. This way you pay less for a nice room. I suspect the stay may not have been as enjoyable if the hot tub on the balcony was taken out of the mix. May I mention, it was clean.... more

My husband and I went to Morro Bay for a nice romantic weekend. We had always wanted to stay at the Inn at Morro Bay and with one of their summer specials running, we decided to give it a shot. The young man at check-in was perfunctory but hardly helpful. After we had gone to a movie at the local... more

We were lucky and had a quiet room overlooking the rock. In a bird santuary which was special. Saw herons, egrets, cormornats, seals and dolphins with 30 mins of arrival. Lovely staff and we really enjoyed the food in the bar area. By far favourite stay between San Diego and San Francisco - and the cheapest room! more

The room is very small and if you are unfortunate enough to be next to the parking (50% of the hotel) the door and windows are not sound-proofed at all. We heard people coming and going all night on a week night. Especially the people that have cars that beep when they lock them with their key fobs. UGH! There... more
