I will start with the drawback - the room was very small, barely bigger than the furniture. But then it's Morro Bay - you shouldn't be spending all your time in your room anyway. This hotel was the best we have stayed at in Morro Bay by a long shot. (We have stayed at four.) The hotel is only a... more

Walked in no reservation. Friendly clerk. $109 with no view, $120 with view. Worth the $11! Large west window that opens overlooking the oceanfront and Morrow Rock. Walk to the Embarkadero and food, quick drive to a clean beach. Room was nice, clean and no smell as was bathroom. Comfy king bed though could have used better pillows. New A/C... more

Was expecting a nice low budget find in the cute little town of Morro Bay overlooking the rock, what I got was completely the opposite. All began when I noticed this foul odor in the hotel lobby and there was no one at the front desk. Had to ring the bell and finally this young man pops out of his... more

A pretty town and a good overnight stop. Motel better inside than out. Although we had asked for a sea view you had to pay extra $15 on arrival. Clean tidy and spacious. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. 5/10 more

The Best Western Tradewinds in Morro Bay, CA is a great hotel. It was very clean, had friendly staff that was easy to deal with, good prices and room rates, free wireless high-speed Internet, breakfast included, and more. I would highly recommend it. Additionally, it was about a block to the ocean, and very close to a golf course, ocean-side... more

Morro Bay is a beautiful place to stay, with great scenery and lots of nice areas nearby. This hotel had a great view of Morro Rock, the bay, and the ocean - and it is about a block from great ocean side dining, specifically seafood. It was a quick drive to central coast wine country, which was exciting. The hotel... more

We stayed for one night while driving south on a sightseeing trip. The hotel was decent and clean with no problems in the room; very spacious for the price. We skipped the continental breakfast which was served in the very cramped lobby - nothing much at all - and ate at Dorn's instead. The location was convenient for travelers; we... more

The Best Western Tradewinds Motel in Morro Bay is a nice "basic" motel... Great place to sleep and see the sights of Morro Bay. You can see the Morro Rock from the Spa. The rooms are nice motel style....comfy, clean, and relatively quiet. Rooms include ironing board, iron, hair dryer, refrigerator, tv, etc. Parking is right by your room -... more

All lights in our room were low wattage energy saving bulbs-next to impossible to read unless you were sitting on the bed next to the lights. Bathroom light and fan are on one switch making it impossible to just turn on light. Fan so noisy you couldn't talk to other person in the room when bathroom light was on. Room... more

This motel is well-located as it is only 100 yards walk to the bay and a view of the rock (except that mist meant we couldn't see it!). Facilities are what you would expect in a motel and this is reflected in the price. However, everything it does is done well and we considered it an excellent place to break... more
