Pulled into this motel because it looked well cared for with flower boxes etc. The owners/managers have done a good job considering the design is old-school motel. It's very convenient with only one block to the waterfront. Rooms appear to have been recently renovated and while not large are well designed and have all the expected amenities. The managers (owners?)... more

Read the other reviews and decided to give this place a shot. Let it be said that I am not a big fan of cheaper hotels like Days Inn and Best Western as a rule. However, Morro Bay doesn't have anything above this level and so we chose the Best Western Tradewinds by the good reviews here. Ended up really... more

Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at this Best Western hotel. Our room was a great deal, was clean, had helpful staff, and is very close to the ocean. They offer a discount for if you have AAA or AARP. The rooms are spacious, recently renovated with granite bathrooms/countertops, and included a refrigerator and other nice amenities. The breakfast was... more

We were very pleased. We noticed that it was given good reviews so we decided to give it a try. It also was reasonably priced. We had no regrets whatsoever. My wife is extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke, and she was pleased from the moment we walked in. Then I noticed they had a refigerator, and fast wi-fi for our... more

I am very shocked by what was written in a recent review from July. I can't believe this person is talking about the same hotel that my husband and I stayed in just recently (July 21st). We were on a road trip from San Diego up to San Jose and stayed here for one night. We actually loved Morro Bay... more

The hotel is a converted motel where all rooms open directly to the parking lot. It is in a bad part of town. Trashy looking trailer park is directly across the street with run-dwon homes surrounding the other sides. Could hear traffic all night long, hookers yelling across the parking lot in the early hours, and saw the police shaking... more

We spent two nights here when we returned to one of our favourite places on the Central Coast - Morro Bay. We hadn't booked but just turned up, and as we were looking for a keen price the receptionist suggested a queen size room being smaller but cheaper. It was absolutely fine. Not big but enough space for us. There... more

We only stayed one night here but were disappointed by the fact we had an upstairs room - had to drag all the luggage up the stairs as there is no lift. Make sure when booking you ask for a downstairs room if your visit is short and you have a few suitcases. The room was nice, clean. Breakfast was... more

Booking Our Visit and Check-In: Booking our trip to Morro Bay was simple and straightforward through their website ([--]), which has a list of nearby attractions, restaurants, and things to do. Highly recommended and we received a great price for the room we booked. Check-In and Our Stay: This hotel was lovely, as is the town of Morro Bay. We... more
