We envisioned a weekend getaway, Morro Bay? Why not, the Rock, Marina, Restaurants with fabulous seafood, and a walk around a very clean town. A small California costal town! I made two reservations for this hotel. One for me and one for my sister. I cancelled both rooms 7-10 days before my scheduled stay. They cancelled one room and charged me for one room. They have refused to give me a refund because I don't have my cancellation number any more. I really learned a lesson here, always call... more

El Rancho Inn is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Overall we liked the motel as we were not there to do Morro Bay but rather to visit the wineries in Paso. The best part of our stay at this motel was the friendly staff. The room was over priced and very small. Several repairs were needed to the room. On our last days stay, the room was not entirely equipped with supplies and was not cleaned very well, so we had to go to the office and ask for the rest... more

We are non-smokers..and we forgot to ask for non-smoking room. What a mistake. The room reeked of smoke! We should have asked to change. Otherwise, the front desk staff was incredibly friendly. There is a very convenient laundry area on site. One funny thing..we saw someone the next morning standing outside a non-smoking room smoking..kinda ironic... more

THis is a one-story motel that is shaped like a U encircling the parking lot. From the parking lot you have a view of the bay, but not from your room because you'll want to keep your curtains closed. Morro Bay is a nice place to visit--not yet gentrified like Cambria, yet not far from the wonderful wineries of Paso... more

We arrived very late to find a very friendly staff. They were very accomodating. In fact, when we left the hotel the next morning; my daughter loved the pillows so much that we asked to purchase one, which we were kindly allowed to do ($5). I recommend staying here; the view is superb. more

The Best Western reminded me of a road trip motel from the 60's. The staff was friendly. Complementary videos, refrigerator. The pool was heated enough to enjoy lap swimming at night.
