Booked two nights. Stayed the first night because there were no other rooms in town available at time we checked in. Left the following morning. Foul odor of garlic or curry in room and around hotel office. Carpet in room was filthy (not vacuumed). Wall paper peeling from wall at floor level. Room showed extreme lack of care/maintenance. Motel 6... more

This was the worst. I ended up paying about $200/night for this place and let me tell you it is not worth $1/night. The room smelled of a sweaty locker room. the sheets had holds and the pillows were stained yellow. The refridgerator had someones old food in it. House keeping didn't even bother to clean it out. And when... more

I stayed at this "hotel" because I thought it was approved by AAA. During my stay the high-speed interest kept cutting out. I would call the front desk and the guy wouldn't know what was wrong. The towels smell a funky smell. Only 3 bars of facial soap was provided and no shampoo, conditioner or other toiletries. Two of the... more

I picked this hotel since it is the cheapest in Morro Bay especially during memorial weekend. We put lots of towels on the bathroom floor since the sink is leaking everytime we turn on the faucet. There's no A/C or any air filter system in the room. I make sure having my shoes on all the times since the carpet... more

I had already booked the room before I read the reviews so needless to say we were a bit nervous about our stay. It turned out to be not so scary. The room was clean, freshly painted and we did not see any signs of "bug" life. The only complaint is that the walls are very thin and you can... more

We stayed one night as a stop off on the way back from San Fransisco to Vegas. Being on a budget "Road trip", I selected this motel for its price. I was uncertain what to expect, having read the reviews. The hotel wasn't Luxourious - but it did the job. The Bedroom part was absoloutely fine (Its Possibly been redecorated?).... more

As many people do, I chose this place because of the price. I pre-booked 5 nights with expedia and stayed for two. The first night I moved rooms because of the noise (the walls are super-thin). The second night I woke up about two AM. My bed was riddles with ticks. I packed my things and left right then. The... more

My brother and I and our families (wife and child each) recently completed a 32-night tour of the United States. We all agree that the Best Value Inn Morro Bay was close to, if not, the worst place we stayed both in terms of room quality and value for money. My wife, young daughter and I stayed in an upstairs... more

Lets see--words that adequately describe this room: sleezy, hole, dump, dive--you get the picture. We were in town to attend an event of some friends, and the dates just happened to coincide with Morro Bay Harbor Days--which meant that 1-all the hotels in town were charging top rates for rooms over the weekend and 2-many of the hotels were already... more

We stayed here as part of a trip from SF to LA, and we chose the Best Value Inn as at $39 plus tax, it just could not be beaten on price. Check in staff was friendly and the room ok for the price, it was quite old and worn but clean. The location was excellent, only a few minutes... more
