Well the hotel is not bad not good. Just good enough for a overnight stopover. The room and bathroom are clean but really lack any character. The WiFi is free but almost non existent. Morro Bay is a quaint town to stop while visiting Hearst Castle and the hotel is good value for money to sleep one night. But no... More

My girlfriend and I needed somewhere to stay on our travels between LA and San Fran. Morro bay seemed like an idyllic little water-front city, ideal for a stopover. Coming from a long distance with many stops along the way, the owner Mihir was kind enough to accommodate our late arrival. The rooms were clean and comfortable with clear views... More

My room was spotless. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning lady, were wonderful. The view (other than the tree in the way) was perfect. I have only two TINY complaints. First, the block north of the motel (heading into downtown) did not have sidewalks, and the street that ran west by the place did not go to... More

The SandPiper Inn is in a great location just a couple of blocks from the waterfront. It was very pleasant to take a leisurely stroll down to the ocean to watch the sunset. Check in was easy and quick with very pleasant service. The rooms are standard motel rooms but are comfortable, quiet and everything functioned well. I would certainly... More

Loved this little hotel. Easy to find right on the main street, easy walk in to town. Great views, clean rooms. Very pleasant operators and management. We'd go back in a second. This is a great place to stay prior to the big trip up Hwy 1 to Big Sur and points north.

I arrived to a room with 8 six inch diameter stains on the carpet all throughout the room. The room smelled of urine. At check in, the manager opened up a Manila folder that had six party's information/ names stapled together individually. He asked my name and pulled out my paper work-- my info was in the back of the... More

Hello Kelsey Boo, I hope you are doing well. You seem to be the friend of the other lady that I just responded to. Yes we did have five other people before you but they could not be shifted around. Some guests were staying more nights and some has special requests, as they have been our valued repeat customers. I... More

The hotel was nice and cute. In walking distance of the little shops and restaurants. We wouldn't stay there again though due to the walls being so thin. We could hear the people above us very clearly. They walked around and talked very late in to the night. The property could use a little updating.

Had a one night stay for six (3 adults and 3 children) in two separate, ground floor, rooms. Both rooms were clean and basic. Hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and pier area. Had a wonderful early morning walk, before leaving the next morning. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast provided the next morning was good. This was... More

We stayed 1 night, Bed was comfortable, Room was clean. Price was average for the area. Staff was friendly. Basic Motel. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here, this time it was under new ownership. We had a room on ground floor, near steps, It was not the owners fault that the 2 men upstairs were heavy walkers,... The draw: clean, comfortable, reasonable rates Inn on an elevation that gives a picture perfect view of the iconic Morro Bay Rock. Dusk finds the sun slipping slowly along side the weathered monolith with colors. Evening and early morning fog rolls in to the soft sound of a distant foghorn. At times seals or possibly sea lions can be heard... More
