I've stayed in the Embarcadero Inn, but that was in the early 90s when I attended a function at the popular Morro Bay Yacht Club across the street. We stayed for two nights and found the room to be clean, though a little dark. The view was very nice and so was the front desk help. If you need a clean and quiet place to stay in Morro Bay, but you don't need a lot of frills, this is a great choice. more

We stayed at the La Serena Inn with our infant daughter for one night in Morro Bay. We got in late and left early, so we didn't get a real taste of the town, but the Inn was clean, relatively cheap, by the water, and I would recommend it. Found the hotel really clean with very nice room. Staff were very friendly. Infact we forgot 2 pairs of spectacles and when we got back home I e.mailed them and they had found them for us and returned them to us in under 10days, we were very grateful.
