Three of us (two rooms) enjoyed a nice stay at La Serena. You will not find a better deal on California's Central Coast in terms of cleanliness, location, helpful staff and cost. Stayed 3 nights here, 3 women, 1 room but it was roomy and had a great view! We were close to the harbor, the restaurants and a view of the rock !! Maid service ok.. we had spilled some dried nuts on the carpet and they were still there when we left which indicated they never vacummed... hm... Had clean... more

Our one night stay was exceedingly comfortable. We felt very welcomed and the staff was eager to please. Rooms were well equiped and very clean. Everything worked! We will stay here again. more

This is not the ritz carlton. This is a very quiet and peaceful little place nestled 2 blocks from the beach. The elavator is a little creepy but the room was very warm and inviting. Very clean. We stayed three nights in the La Serena Inn in Morro Bay. The hotel is definitely a charmer: very clean, great staff, very nice large rooms, nice breakfast, great location, and great price. What's not to like about this place? If I go to the area again, no question: I will certainly stay there again. more

My room was clean, the hotel is in a perfect location, and I could not have been happier about the size of the room, refrigerator, microwave, and realtive quiet of the hotel. The hotels listed are really the ones I would recommend. I've stayed in the Embarcadero Inn, but that was in the early 90s when I attended a function at the popular Morro Bay Yacht Club across the street. I've also stayed at the Inn at Morro Bay, across from the golf course. It used to be called "The Golden Tee".... more
