Front desk is nice, got a room at AAA rate, no a/c but that's normal for area, (some rooms do have them though), about the only motel that isn't a chain that has a pool, clean room, small refer, microwave, quiet place. No traffic noise, you can hear the fog horn and the sea lions at night. Parking is rather... More

We chose the Breakers this time in Morro Bay because of the location and price. Like many of the places in Morro Bay it's older but it was clean and spacious. Mini frig and microwave in the room, roomy bathroom and a great view from our 2nd floor room. It's a short block up from the center of the embarcadero... More

I stopped in Morro Bay at the suggestion of a friend, and spent a few minutes on my smart phone searching for a place to spend a couple days between two events I am attending. The Breakers got decent reviews AND the price was good so I figured I would give it a try. I am writing this while looking... More

Absolutely the best weekend! My husband and I enjoyed the 3rd floor sitting outside watching the sunset. Perfect view of the Rock, after a day of perfect weather started a cozy fire and took in Morro Bay! We loved our stay and plan to return real soon!! Can't wait!! Thank you staff at Breakers! Than you'll undoubtably love this paper thin-walled motel. Your voice, which is your most robust quality, will carry melodiously through to the rest of the guest rooms, allowing all others to hear every word of your stupid conversation. Feel free to stay up all night and shout, because, why not. Despite the thin walls, the rooms are clean and have... More

Great view from the third floor. We like to stay at different places in Morro Bay. The Breakers has been one of our favorites. Great location. Walk to the Embarcadero. Walk downtown to Legends and The Fuel Dock. Farmers Market on Saturday afternoons.

Not sure why people give this place bad reviews. We stayed in a third floor room for three nights and loved it ! We dealt with various staff members and they were all very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and spacious. The shower and toilet are in one room with a sink and countertop Outside of that room... More

Have stayed a couple of times, and have noticed no real updates! Rooms are outdated and tired with draperies that are broken, poor lighting, and a really "sad" excuse for a shower! It takes FOREVER to get hot water..???? Towels are old and thin...no extras here! The "complimentary breakfast" is a joke! First of all, the owner doesn't open the... More

There are several dozen motels in Morro Bay. Choose a different one! This should probably be a 2 dot place, as it is well located and clean. Unfortunately that's all that's good about it. The room was pretty outdated, and the bathroom was a joke, w/ a shower that would make a contortionist smile. There was no AC. It was... More

The Breakers Motel is run by an extremely rude owner and staff. The rooms are not terrible, but our experience was. There are numerous motels adjacent to the Breakers with friendlier staff, cleaner rooms, better amenities, great views, and within the same walking distance to the embarcadero. Don't give The Breakers your money. Support better businesses elsewhere.
