My daughter and I decided to take a very last minute...long weekend...right before school started. We came upon The Breakers Motel and there just happened to be a room for the night we planned to stay in Morro Bay. As it turned out, after booking it, we decided to see if we could get a 3rd night there too. Unfortunately,... More

After a disappointing first night in Morro Bay (at a different motel) we moved to Breakers Motel. Absolutely awesome great location, the guy at the front service desk who lives on site is brilliant. The place has a pool and a warm water spa and all for 79 bucks a night. We've road tripped down the west coast and this... More

I hate to tell anyone else about this FABULOUS FIND, but in fairness to the motel, I have to. It's like paying $15 for a bottle of wine, only to discover it would rate a 97 WS score. Decor: dated (Who cares?!?!? Pull your chair up to the window and look at the amazing view) View: phenomenal anytime a day... More

Trip to Morro Bay for some Labor Day fun. Fishing, whale watching, bike riding etc. Stayed at the Breakers Motel. Great location! The room was clean, but for the amount we paid for a night it was so outdated. The furniture was old and the lighting was bad. It looked like the only thing they have changed was the carpeting... Front desk is nice, got a room at AAA rate, no a/c but that's normal for area, (some rooms do have them though), about the only motel that isn't a chain that has a pool, clean room, small refer, microwave, quiet place. No traffic noise, you can hear the fog horn and the sea lions at night. Parking is rather... More

We chose the Breakers this time in Morro Bay because of the location and price. Like many of the places in Morro Bay it's older but it was clean and spacious. Mini frig and microwave in the room, roomy bathroom and a great view from our 2nd floor room. It's a short block up from the center of the embarcadero... More

I stopped in Morro Bay at the suggestion of a friend, and spent a few minutes on my smart phone searching for a place to spend a couple days between two events I am attending. The Breakers got decent reviews AND the price was good so I figured I would give it a try. I am writing this while looking... More

Absolutely the best weekend! My husband and I enjoyed the 3rd floor sitting outside watching the sunset. Perfect view of the Rock, after a day of perfect weather started a cozy fire and took in Morro Bay! We loved our stay and plan to return real soon!! Can't wait!! Thank you staff at Breakers! Than you'll undoubtably love this paper thin-walled motel. Your voice, which is your most robust quality, will carry melodiously through to the rest of the guest rooms, allowing all others to hear every word of your stupid conversation. Feel free to stay up all night and shout, because, why not. Despite the thin walls, the rooms are clean and have... More

Great view from the third floor. We like to stay at different places in Morro Bay. The Breakers has been one of our favorites. Great location. Walk to the Embarcadero. Walk downtown to Legends and The Fuel Dock. Farmers Market on Saturday afternoons.
