Great Location, Rooms semi-clean with older furnishings, but the management has got to go. Second floor room (nice view) I booked months prior and paid extra for was not available. After registering and paying, I was informed of my room change and given a first floor room (no view) with no reimbursement for the difference. Lied to about contacting owner... more

During an unplanned holiday road trip to Morro Bay, a kind clerk at a chain motel with no vacancies sent us over to The Breakers Motel. We were so delighted with it that we spent several days there. The building is three balconied stories, with each upper story becoming consecutively higher priced. The ground floor rooms were $69 a day... more

I go to Morro Bay every year and I refuse to stay anywhere else other than Breakers. It's just what you need for a pleasant stay in Morro Bay. We stay on the second story each time and the view can't be beat. It's not the fanciest motel but who needs something fancy when you're in Morro Bay? These people... more

We love the location of this hotel--right at the top of the staircase in Morro Bay. It is super convenient and the view is great. Our room, though, we a bit run down and in need of TLC. The bathroom was dirty and the continental breakfast is less than to be desired, but overall it was a fine. more

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. The employees working the night shift were very pleasant and accomodating. The employees working the day shift on the third day were rude, unaccomodating, and refused assistance when it was requested. Never in my life have I had such a horrible night's sleep as I did at the breaker's motel and never in my... more

My daughter and I stayed over night At the breakers motel. It was the most horrible place I've ever been to.There was a broken window in our room which kept our room very cold and dirty. The bathroom had three different colors of mold in it,and when we tried to use the shower(I only got three hours of sleep and needed to... more

We have been visiting Morro Bay since 1980, and we have always stayed in the Breakers. We really liked the view and thought the prices were very reasonable. However, out last stay there in December, 2004, they charged us an extra $67.80 for long distance phone calls that were actually local calls, a charge I did not discover until I... more

It would be a nice view if it weren't for the large ugly plant obscuring about half the view. The decor is right out of the 70's, the fireplace smokes, wood provided is an instant log and it costs $3.00 to get another one. Coffee pot had to be reassembled and the filter in the air conditioner had never been... more
