We choose that hotel after seeing an ad for it with the AAA logo. The woman barely spoke English and was really rude. We had a coupon for an ocean view room at the price of a regular room but she said that she had no more ocean view rooms available so we had to take a regular room. In... More

I've been traveling through the States voor almost two months so I've been in dozens of motels. But nowhere was I treated so unfriendly and even rude. The female owner made such unfriendly remarks that I felt very unwelcome, like I did something wrong! Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but she's clearly in the wrong business and shouldn't... PLEASE BEWARE! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This is a friendly warning to anyone considering staying in this motel. My fiance and I stayed in this hotel for one night in August of 2007 because the prices weren't too high. The place itself was okay for a one night stay. I have no major complaints about the room because I... More

It was definitely the worst experience ever ! I've never seen such a RUDE staff : unhelpful, agressive, ... the owner threw me the room's keys and made unprofessional and rude comments. I booked a queen bed room in the morning, and even on the phone, she was rude, and cared only about my credit card details. When I arrived... More

My girlfriend and I were traveling from Santa Barbara to San Francisco, so we decided that Morro Bay was a decent place to stop for the night. We found the Morro Crest Inn through a voucher we saw in a travel discounts catalog. It gave the price as $30/night. After calling the woman at the front desk she told us... More

I do appreciate the fact that when my party (of 10 in four rooms) checked in early 4/14 that they informed us that there was a wedding party staying there that night. However, that was pretty much the point where the good experience ended. We were also in a wedding party (the minister was one of the guests) and when... More

Stayed there for about 10 days over a couple weeks while I had extended business in the area. I chose the Morro Crest Inn because of the reasonable rates ($42 to $60 a night as I recall) and wifi availability. A motel with wifi is not easy to find in the SLO coast at these good rates. The owners live... More

Nice place. My room was well furnished, decorated, and comfortable with a great price. A night here feels very much like a night in the guest room at the home of a family member. I was happy to find that my room was close enough to the front desk to take advantage of free wireless internet. My room had a... More

We were enjoying a trip up the Pacific Coast as part of a 14 night trip around California, and decided to stay in Morro Bay for the night. After being quoted some daft prices ($130 plus) for standard looking motel rooms, apparently "because it's friday...", we stumbled across the Morro Crest, still only two blocks from the sea front. The... More
