We stayed here for one night as part of a road-trip, at the end of a Big Sur adventure. The hotel is of a contemporary and rather unusual design, but we liked it. The room was clean, large and very comfortable, with the complementarity popcorn in the microwave being a nice touch. We had a fantastic view of the little... More

We stayed here for one night en-route home from Southern California. We had a two queen room with a partial view of the harbor. We were very satisfied with the size and the quality of the furnishings in our room. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very large. The only thing lacking was air conditioning. We kept the... While looking for a place to stay in Morro Bay, we came upon the Embarcadero Inn on the waterfront. Wanting a nice quiet out of the way place where we could enjoy a balcony view of the harbor and rock, this filled the bill. It is located at the end of the street, so vehicle traffic is minor and virtually... More

I was really looking forward to our stay at the Embarcadero Inn, but of all the properties we visited during our drive up the coast, this was the most disappointing. This hotel is on the Embarcadero but the balconies overhang the road, not the harbor. I was kept awake by the sound of cars passing under our balcony during the... More

We are sorry your stay was not what you expected however we are puzzled why you found everything outdated. Our property just completed a full refurbishing within the last three months from new carpeting, drapes and furniture. We enhanced each of our 33 rooms with all new beautiful duvets and linens as well. While our breakfast area is not large... More

Embarcadero Inn is located in downtown Morro Bay with an excellent view of Morro Rock. The rooms are very adequate and are equipped for vacationers (microwave, refrigerator). The rooms are very clean and the breakfast set up is as much as one could ask for. Parking is underneath the Inn and is convenient.

My partner and I stayed for just one night which on leaving the area we felt was about the right length of stay; Morro Bay is a beautiful spot but very tiny so after less than an hour of walking around we had seen all there was and spotted the same people four or five times over. There are various... More

My wife and I traveled out from Colorado and joined my Mother, who lives in Fresno, for a trip to the coast. We spent two nights at Embarcadero Inn. We had a room for us and another for my Mother. The rooms had King beds, were bigger than expected, very clean, and each room had its own balcony. The staff... More

This is a great hotel with wonderful bay views. the rooms are big and most have fireplaces and balconies. The staff are very friendly and gave us some really good restaurant suggestions. Price includes a continental breakfast and they have free newspapers. We will definitely go back.

Morro Bay doesn't have large hotel chains so it took a lot of scouring of reviews to figure out where we wanted to stay. From my research, it looked like a much better quality hotel for only 20% more $ than much lesser hotels in the area. We were very happy with our stay. Front desk was always friendly and... More
