The front desk staff was the highlight of this stay at the Markland Hotel in Monterey Park, CA. Although I found it a bit difficult to find the hotel since the access road is on the south side of the EB Hwy 60, once there, all was fine. Parking is under the structure and is secure. The breakfast was good... More

This hotel needs some serious TLC. The staff is incredibly friendly, but it appears as though no one cares about basic maintenance of this hotel. The hotel smelled like mildew and looked like it was about to crumble. Our first room was tiny and an "efficiency" type room, but okay, until we realized that the black out curtain was half... More

When we walked in everything looked pretty run down. I was a little worried. But then the room was excellent. It had a whirlpool style spa tub also, which was great. If you're there for a conference and don't want to pay too much, for the value of the room, this is a great choice. The hallways and lobby did... More

Just stayed last week. The room was very clean and I was happy the area the hotel seemed safe. Unfortunately all the construction on the road to come in off of highway had us alittle lost for a minute to find this hotel. Also don't waste you time going for the free breakfast there was barely anything offered, head to... More

This is an excellent hotel for the price. It's clean and the staff was very helpful. I traveled to LA for a concert in Inglewood, and I chose this one for its price and star rating. I was very pleased that it had a nice appearance. The area is a little off the beaten track but it's safe. I definitely... More

We are staying for two nights, once we entering room, disgusting smell of the carpets and curtains are there; asking for exchange, rooms fully booked; can't sleep well at nights due to smells; our friends staying in other rooms which are fine.

Stayed for 1 night. Room was clean but pillows are so small, it's like half of a regular size pillow, towels are kinda old and needs to be replace. There was no fitted sheet on the bed, they used a flat sheet instead, not sure if other hotels are like this, but this is the first time that my kid... More

We checked in to this hotel twice during our trip to the states. Once we arranged to stay on the third floor and the second time we stayed in the ground/first floor. Both visit was good for us,except we need to get used to the smell of the room and the corridor is a bit gloomy, which personally kind of... More

It's always hard to judge a hotel based on a website and online reviews especially when you are not familiar with the area. I think we did ok in picking this hotel in this area near east LA where we needed to be. The room was nice but the air conditioning unit was noisy. The beds were comfortable and my... More
