Rooms are pretty nice. Location is a bit far from center of town, breakfast and internet connection quite poor more

They cancelled my reservation on me without telling me, sold the room out from under me, didn't help me find another place to stay, and threatened to charge me a 50% cancellation fee even though I hadn't cancelled. I was running the Big Sur Half Marathon in downtown Monterey, so I booked a room at the Econolodge. A few days... more

There is a bed bug issue in #206. The bed bug issue is not really what created the low rating it was how the motel handled itself during the issue. 1. There was no one at the front desk late at night when we tried to find a new room for my friend who was eaten alive. They said it... more

The motel is right next to the motorway exit. Not exactly a nice neighbourhood to stay. Staff are not very friendly. Breakfast is basic, but there is sufficient. It is served in the small reception area and there is only one small table, so you have to eat it in your room which means you either have to take enough... more

Well, I had previously stayed at the Ramada next to the EconoLodge in Monterey and the experience was far far better. The breakfast was nicer, the staff friendlier and the room bigger. We found that the water was hot for some minutes and then it cooled down. For a girl with a long hair it is a problem to wash... more

Ok for one night. Spacious room, clean room, but pretty basic. In the premises some garbage bins were so full that the garbage was been put at its sides. Front desk provides a reception that can't be considered warm. more

Our stay here on our vacation was great! It was convenient and very clean. It had a refrigerator and stove which we didn't expect which was great. It is very close to Cannery Row which we liked. They provided us with adjoining rooms that were connected through a door inside the room which was convenient. more

I don't know why I expected more from a budget hotel. Perhaps I was being naive. I booked this hotel through Expedia back in February, because it was affordable. But when we arrived at the hotel late on a Saturday night (exhausted after 14 hours of airports and airplanes), they didn't have our reservation in their system. After about twenty... more

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst exploring the California coast line. On arrival at the motel it looks nice. We were slightly put off by the abrupt young man and reception who seemed to grunt at us instead of talking. But who spends much time at reception? We only ahd to talk to him once to check in! The... more

I stayed here for 8 days while in town for a family event. My reservation through Hotels.com averaged my nightly rate around $55. I found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. I had a King bed room that included a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, hairdryer, and cable with HBO. My aunts had Queen beds, and their rooms... more
