Staff was very nice every time at the front desk, front loby was clean, had a computer for internet access. Wifi was hard to conenct but I did connect to an open wifi from the motel next door :P Get to breakfast early and enjoy it with relative peace, it seemed crowded if you got there right before they closed... more
Thank you for your kind comments we value your opinion of our hotel and your stay. As far as the exercise room we do have equipment in there for guest to use but, because of the renovation of some of our rooms we had to store furniture in the exercise room. Once again thank you for your comments.
I usually find tripadvisor reviews to be unnecessarily harsh, but our stay at this Comfort Inn is worthy of such harsh criticism. The setting was nice and it was nicely landscaped but it was really just a glorified MOTEL 6. If you are expecting to stay in a room that is a Motel 6 type of room, then this is the place for you. The photos on the web site are deceiving to say the least. Our room was small and old. There was a tiny bathroom...no tub. The shower was so small that there was barely room to turn... more

We booked this place for 2 nights. Upon our arrival, we were pleasantely surprised to see that we were in the new part(renovated). We were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully landscaped property of this hotel. It's your standard chain hotel for the most part, although I found the rooms more tasteful and bright than usual. I guess when you only spend $100/night for a place in Monterey, this is what you get. I agree with a previous writer----("What a dump") who said they hated the thought of returning to the motel after a day of sightseeing. In fact, we cut our stay short. quiet, clean, and a good value - we were very happy with the hotel and the location - as one person described it - It's in the middle of everything though not really near anything more
We went for this hotel based on price and reviews on this website. The phone staff was awesome! Very friendly and accomodating. Put us in our own area because of our toddlers. It was very quiet! Room was large and fit all 5 of us well. Bathroom was recently remodled - nice... down side, whole room smelled like fresh paint.... more
