I stayed at the Bay Park Hotel in Monterey, California in Dec 2014. The staff at the front desk where extremely friendly. The room décor was outdated except for a bathroom sink. Picture an old bathroom with a new modern vanity and sink. The room was not overly large, but it was not small. It was roomy enough for 2... More

I stayed at the Bay Park for a week while working at corporate headquarters in Monterey. Although the facilities show some age, everything seems to be in decent shape. I found my room comfortable and fairly quiet. This isn't a fancy place but better than many. I would stay here again when work takes me out to Monterey (if the... More

I stayed three nights on a business trip. The attitude of the front desk staff was not the friendliest. Once in my room, I found dirt in the sink, the water hard to drain, and the door to the closet was off its hinges. They did send someone to fix these items. The hotel is being renovated, so many pieces... More

We booked this hotel through Groupon. The website said there was a hot tub and pool. When we got to the hotel we asked where the hot tub was and the employee at the front desk said the hot tub doesn't work but they have a heated pool. We went out to look at the pool and there was a... More

This lodging facility is adequate but overpriced. I stayed here for one night with a friend as we were on our way to another destination. They have obviously upgraded the lighting and the bathrooms. In fact, the bathroom was rather nice. But you are paying Monterey prices for what really still feels like an *old* Super 8 in need of... More

We booked another place (very pricey in Carmel) a month or so before a very busy weekend. Most places were booked weeks ago. That place (NOT Bay Park), turned out to be a dive, I have never walked out of a place before but this OTHER place was just creepy. Fortunately my daughter found this opening while I was considering... More

We stayed here one night as part of our tour. We didn't expect much but this was below par. The room itself was large and the bed was big and comfortable. The staff were pleasant, especially in the restaurant. That's about it for positives. The establishment is basic and run down. There was torn carpeting and the room smelt. I... More

Last minute trip to get out of valley heat and meet friends for dinner! What an amazing, nicely kept up older hotel, well priced convenient location and quiet. Priced well for Monterey and the restaurant and bar where top notch. Service in Restaurant was a little slow but they made up for it in quality of food.
