We were there for three nights and I was without a car while my husband and our son were out on a boat. We were in the Ashford Suite with the sitting room for our son. One we get the pillows sorted out and towels for our son, we did fine. We had a lot of bags to haul up... More

I was so impressed with this property! The grounds are lovely, the room was charming, and the inn keeper was so friendly. Check in went smoothly. The inn keeper was guininely friendly. She explained all about the property and what we could expect out of our stay. She showed us to our room. We stayed in the Chawton. This room... More

The steps were relevant because we stayed in the Ashfield suite and had to lug our daughters capsule up to the 3rd level each time we went anywhere. Staying in the original master bedroom of this great house makes it a first world problem I know! Set a few minutes drive from fishermans wharf and cannery row was fine for... More

There are so many bed and breakfast in Carmel and Monterey area. The reason I choose this one is mainly because it's probably a more adult only place. It is tuck away in a residential area of Monterey. It is about good 20 minutes walk to fisherman's wharf which is fine with my husband and I. The Inn has beautiful... More

We just spent two wonderful nights at the Old Monterey Inn B&B. It was lovely. We first stayed there 15years ago, and we are happy to report that we were not disappointed on our return visit. There is no detail left undone. Katy, the Innkeepper, was charming and clearly takes great pride in her home. The breakfasts were excellent, served... More

My husband and I stayed in The Library. It was a lovely room with windows everywhere. Our private balcony was very special as we sat and had coffee and read the paper in the morning. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept soundly. And though it was a cozy room, it had a very warm and welcoming feeling... More

We stayed in "The Library", which we thought was attractive and very comfortable - if a little smaller than appears on promotional photographs. We stayed for 2 nights as part of a month long road trip, and didn't really have space for our 3 large pieces of luggage! Breakfast was lovely, although on the first morning it was cool and... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at the Old Monterey Inn, and thank you for sharing your comments! The Library room is a guest favorite, and the only room that provides the balcony overlooking the garden. While many enjoy the comaraderie of the dining room or garden for breakfast, we realize that some of our guests do not feel... More

M husband and I toured Northern California for two weeks and stayed primarily in bed and breakfasts and inns. It is no exaggeration to say that the Old Monterey Inn far surpassed all others during this vacation, as well as many we've enjoyed while on other vacations. The property and rooms are even more beautiful than the pictures on the... More

The Old Monterey Inn is a large home built in the late 1920s that has been converted into a superb B & B. Because it was a house before it was an inn, the rooms can be a bit funky and some of the plumbing dates from too long ago. We have stayed many times over decades. Our first innkeepers... More

This is a lovely and quaint Inn. Our room was elegant and cannot say enough about the staff. They were very helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was definitely the best we had ever had. The evening cocktail was also very nice and meeting other guests in the living room was also pleasant. We highly recommend this Inn.
