We chose to stay at the Portoloa to celebrate our anniversary right after the 4th of July. The other reviews on here described it as a great hotel, and I was able to find the Premium King room I wanted on Travelocity. Upon arrival around 4 pm, the front desk was behind on processing check-ins. They only had 2 people... more

We also paid 299 per night because of the holiday and the moto gp but it was not worth it at all. We asked to be moved and it was even worst. I wouldn't stay here again. The two nights we couldn't sleep at all. Noises from the street, from the next and above rooms and even from within the... more

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights to attend a Grand Prix motorcycle race at Laguna Seca. Two friends had their own room. In general, the hotel was nice. The rooms were pleasantly decorated and very, very clean. Both rooms in our party were Deluxe King -- and they were TINY. Our room had a balcony overlooking a... more

We stayed 3 nights in late June. Our room was excellent and very clean. Dinner at Jack`s was our best dinner of the trip. Centrally located and close to everything. more

Beautiful property in a great location. Very easy check-in/check-out. Stayed during a unseasonably "Hot" time and room was pleasant with ceiling fans and windows that opened to help cool it off. Staff was very friendly and helpful! We will be back!!! more

We always enjoy our visits to Portola Plaza. We have stayed there many times over the years and find the location convenient for everything we want to do. Our kids love the pool and our rooms are always comfortable, very clean, and relaxing. We enjoy eating at Jack's restaurant with the convenience of having good food/service right in the hotel.... more

For our anniversary I wanted to do something really special for my husband. I booked a room and then told him turn by turn directions to this hotel. He was so surprised. From the moment we walked into the beautiful lobby we were in paradise! (even booking the hotel by telephone was really easy!) Our room was an ocean view... more

Yep, there is no air conditioning, if it had I would give it a fifth star. But keep in mind that the average temp is only 70 year round. It never got above 68 the two days we were there. I prefer to have the window open and enjoy the breeze and granted, I am from AZ where anything under... more

Since my husband is unable to walk; requires the use of a wheelchair at all times it has been difficult to find hotels that are accessible for him. Checking websites and talking with hotel staff is not always helpful; especially when it comes to the bathroom/shower set up. The Portola was very accessible, room set up was thought out and... more

We went for 2 days and picked a larger hotel vs. an inn so we would have convenience when traveling with children. To my surprise, there is NO air conditioning. This was not disclosed when booking. The staff must get this complaint frequently, because they practically have a script- open the window (we were on the 1st floor- so not... more
