i can't express how much i hate leaving this review, but i am hesitantly writing it, only because i would have liked to have a heads up before booking this hotel myself. without going into too much detail, the staff were very friendly, room was pretty clean, BUT, we did find cockroaches, which ruined our stay. we ended up leaving... Cute from the outside but the inside does not match because the walls are thin, it is only average tidy and the rooms are very, very small! Friendly at check in and decent location as 10/15 minute stroll down to the lovely city center. However, you will find better for a similar price. Having said that for one night it... More

This motel was very poor. Tiny rooms, dreadful decor and query the state of cleanliness. The toilet did not flush properly. The complimentary breakfast was dreadful and really the only thing worth eating was the fresh fruit, a banana and apple. It was extraordinarily poor value for money. I wonder if these motels take advantage of overseas guests. The cost... More

Stayed for two nights in April and it was all just about ok, Nohing bad to report other than the pipes (central heating/water) knocked against one another anytime someone draws water from a tap/shower/toilet. Very annoying !!..... As i had stayed in super8 and la Quinta in other areas of cali in the days leading up to this i would... More

It was the great faux-pas of our trip. Lots of places nearby and we ended up in this inn, which is quite nice seen from outside. The rooms are OK, but that's it. No service. We could've enjoyed better our stay somewhere else. Note to future trips: an awfully pasteurized orange juice and muffins that taste like nothing but paper... More

Booked through the "secret hotel" deals on hotwire, so I didn't know what I will get before paying. For a 2-star in monterey, I thought it wouldn't be too bad. When we arrived at 11:45pm Sunday night (it's actually 10:45pm since it's the first day after daylight saving started), the only Indian inn keeper was asleep and he was very... More

We aren't picky people. Taking into account a 2 star hotel that's on the cheap price point, I don't expect much. The location is good, along with a lot of other similar hotels around the area. The bed was comfortable and the bedding seems to be on the new side. The outside hallway is not all that clean but whatever.... More

They advertised their prices as $30 on priceline then at check in they added a $15 "room charge". Totally bogus! Rooms are great and even had a fire place, but price gouging w/ bait and switch puts a fowl taste in your mouth.

We stayed 3 nights we always get a low star motel since we don't spend much time there. Upon arrival I was under the impression our bill would be 168 plus tax. The front desk man gave us our cc receipt and he had charged us 66 bucks in fees and taxes. We got a room that was right next... More

Stayed here on my way to San Francisco, was a nice place except the room smelled of smoke, and the staff kitchen was next door since I was in room number 1, not the most quietest available. The complementary breakfest is not something to excpect for, at least not more than orange juice and muffin.
