We stayed only one night as part of our trip route 1.Location is great. Convenient access to major roads and Hwy 1..and easy parking. The couple running the hotel were friendly and helpfull. The room we stayed was clean and big.Large windows with a nice view. Beds were comfy but pillows are hard.Crisp white bed linens.Bathroom was very clean and... More

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and parking was free. Drawbacks: breakfast wasn't great and it would have been nice to be within walking distance of Cannery Row. Overall a nice hotel and a great value. More

We stayed here for two nights during winter break. Rooms were very, very clean and quite spacious. We had a very comfy king plus twin, with a flat screen tv, microwave, fridge and table with two chairs. Really well situated - about 15 minutes walk to wharf and downtown. The hot tub was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast (free)... More

Comfortable motel close to the city of Monterey. The room was fairly large and clean and cheap (under $70 thru hotels.com). The only negative that I can say is that the breakfast is wanting....a piece of wheat bread or a small packaged danish...hmmm....we went to Peet's instead. More

We stayed here for 3 days as part of our LA to SF Highway1 driving holiday. On the first day (16.10.11) we were also celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Unknown to us our daughter had contacted the owners (from UK) and arranged a special treat of an upgrade, bottle of champagne, flowers and believe it or not some pearl jewelery.... More

Room was lovely, very clean and spacious. Good location, only a few minutes drive to the aquarium and the wharf. Lots of sea lions, sea otters and seals in the harbour that are fun to watch. Lots of Pelicans knocking about too. We went to an Indian resturant down the road called Ambrosia, was really nice. Worth a visit for... More

The room was very clean, large enough and with a large window with a beautiful view (you can take the breakfast in your room and eat it in front of the window on 2 very comfortable chairs). Bed was comfortable and clean! The bathroom was very clean as well. Location is great, just very close to everything in Monterey, of... More

The room was really spacious, really clean, and homely. Lady at reception was really nice and made up feel welcome especially after a really long drive! Location was good, about a 20 minute walk to the main square bit, and the docks. Pick your resturants carefully! Good value for money! More

I've stayed at El Adobe in the past and it was always a great deal for a nice room, generally under a $100 for midweek in the Spring. Although I understand summer prices are higher, $119 + taxes for room #1 was just way out of kilter. I was expecting a room comparable to what I had previously, but room... More
