We are currently staying here.. been here for 4 nights now and still have a few to go! The service is great, the rooms are just fine!i don't have anything negative to say about this place! I would recomend red roof inn! Everything in our room is clean and neat (we double checked Everything) ! :)

Tripadvisor watch out! Those recent reviews cannot be true,we stayed there on April 5th for exactly 15 min. Been on the road 5 days. Nicest place we've stayed so far. Nice rooms and friendly service. The proprietor obviously takes pride in the establishment and isn't afraid to spend some money to keep it up. That being said, it is one of the most affordable places in Monterey.

The room was great, it was clean and very spacious. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, at both check in and check out. They were quick to recommend restaurants in the area. I will definitely remember the Red Roof Inn the next time I need a hotel in the Monterey area!

Nice and clean room. Very comfortable bed. The room looks like it has been renovated lately, new furniture and stone floor in the bath. The only thing I didn't like were the thin walls... We could hear our neighbors chatting.

Arrived late, had an easy check-in by the nice owner. Got a fresh large room with TV, free WiFi, breakfast, microwaveoven, fridge...in short words, very priceworthy! The WiFi did not work so good in the evening, but in the morning it was ok again for some reason. We would stay here again and can recommend it.
