Comfortable rooms and some very helpful staff members, along with a location that is deceptively close to the town centre, make this a very good place to stay, and we'd be happy to stay again. There is no seating for the complimentary breakfast, but the food provided is quite adequate and there is no problem to take it to your... More

Thank you so very much for your stay! It was our pleasure to serve you. I do apologize about the seating for breakfast, I'm sure in got lost when we checked you in but, we do have tables set up in our back deck area next to a great little creek. Sometimes a little chilly but most of the time... More

We stayed here one night before continuing the drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. It is a motel style holel with a good parking space. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the breakfast selection was very wide. The outside seating area could not be used due to the weather that day, but... More

We had driven into Monterey after a day of driving up Highway One from Paso Robles. Good hotel for a quick visit - wouldn't stay there longer. Needs updated, but overall room wasn't bad. Short walk to the Fisherman's Wharf and restaurants. Breakfast was surprisingly good, although there wasn't any room in the lobby to eat.

From the descriptions, we expected more of a boutique feel. It was not. I booked through Expedia, and was treated like a second class citizen. All my inquiries or requests were curtly denied. Room was small, but clean. Happened upon a street fair as it was New Year's Eve. Great location to walk to pier and restaurants. Seemed safe. Won't... More

Room was quite large with wood burning fireplace and refrigerator. Very comfortable bed nonsmoking property with an ok breakfast. Great location near fishermams wharf without the ridiculous price tag.

The hotel is located in a quiet, residential area, but only a short walk from restaurants, shops and the sea. Ample parking on site. The rooms are a little tired, but everything worked, and the beds were comfortable. A good breakfast is provided at reception, with a pleasant outside eating area behind the hotel. The staff were helpful and courteous.... More

A friend and I stayed here for one night. Purpose of our visit was to attend the "Christmas in the Adobes" with Monterey State Historic Park one night a week ago. The next day we hiked in nearby Point Lobos. This hotel turned out to be a good stay for us. The location was convenient to the downtown and Fisherman's... More

We had a very strange and uncomfortable stay here. Even though we booked directly through the hotel weeks in advance, at rack rate, and checked in at a reasonable time, we ended up with the worst room in the hotel: 101, right by the office and the janitors' closet, with noisy foot traffic upstairs and a gnarly trash can right... We needed a room for a last minute excursion for Crab/Rock Cod fishing. We stayed in Rm.#201, a Standard King with fireplace and tiny balcony. The door stuck and was hard to lock. The balcony had a pad thrown down over the cement in which it smelled of mildew, thus you couldn't leave the door open for fresh air into... More

Hotel was lovely, staff friendly. Room was amazing with a working fireplace which was a nice added touch. Great location with only a 10 min walk to the beach and the wharf. Hotel could be better sign posted and entrance sign was quite small.
