We needed a place to stay in the area for one night. This place was relatively inexpensive which is the main reason we chose it. This was clean (enough) and I liked the location right across from the bike/walking trail. You can walk or ride on that trail to downtown. Or take it the other direction, and turn left after... More

An OK place in a very nice area central to Monterey's attractions but not in the crowded bustle of town. Clean, OK wifi, well heated for winter and very quiet. Plenty of parking. Near restaurants and shopping.

The sound proofing is rubbish so next doors TV and coughing was very audible. It's all a bit basic and utilitarian but does the job if you just need somewhere to park and sleep whilst visiting Monterey. Just skip the complimentary morning coffee. Pretty awful. It is a very pleasant 30 minute walk to the Wharf area. The excellent Monterey... More

I booked this motel without reading any reviews. The guy at the desk was the least pleasant person we'd come across in our travels. The room was clean but there is no tea or coffee making facilities or microwave in the room. These are located in the small lobby. There was a dirty ashtray outside the room, on top of... More

If you travel with your own bicycle(s), appreciate ultra fast WiFi (15-20+ Mbps D/L, 7 Mbps U/L) with excellent signal strength, convenient location to Monterey attractions and restaurants, along with cable TV on a 40" LED flatscreen before turning in for the night, this is the place. I have made numerous multiple night stays since 2011. The staff have been... More

Wasn't clean. Very inadequate parking spaces and on a busy street so difficult to maneuver into a space. A pit bull was at the end of the (outside) hall barking at us viciously every time we left the room. Partying all night, with booming music and laughter. Could hear someone on the phone for a long time. Hard to find... More

Terrible terrible terrible. We planned to stay a night in this hotel and when we arrived there we asked to have a look at the room first. The rudest person in the world worked at the front desk. He did not want to show us the room and was very rude to us. I Don't recommend to anyone.

Dirt smudged on inside of door. Mold along baseboards. Turned on heater and air reeks of hot mold. Bath towels old and worn. Rejects from thrift store? Bedspread and curtains don't even come close to matching in cplot or style. No coffee maker, no alarm clock? Who ever heard of a motel without an alarm clock? Only benefit- it's cheap.... More
