We booked thru booking.com and were pleasantly surprised at the location and value. We have visited and stayed in Carmel, Carmel Valley, and Monterey 8 times this year. This was a very good value. Nice cafe adjacent with discount coupon for breakfast. The location is superb across from the park and small lake. We will stay there again and opt... More

We spent 2 nights here over Thanksgiving weekend. It's in a very nice location, away from the business of downtown and Cannery Row, but close enough to be very convenient. There is a beach within walking distance, a nice park area, including the Dennis the Menace Playground for kids, and easy access to the rest of the area. Plenty of... More

I stopped for 1 night at this hotel, and found it so convenient in Monterey. It is a very straightforward route off the main highway, and the hotel is only 100m from the lovely sandy beach. Fishermans Wharf is a 15 min walk along th beach path, so this place is ideally located. My room was a little basic, more... More

Enjoyed three nights in this hotel at the end of our two week California vacation. It's a couple blocks from the wharf and the history walking tour. Clean and good service. Bed comfortable but could improve their pillows. The Bay Cafe next door had good breakfasts and we also had a tasty dinner there too. The hotel staff were friendly... More

A simple yet very charming and cosy motel not too far away from the wharfs and the other attractions Monterey has to offer. The friendly staff recommended the Sand Bar to us which served an awesome clam chowder. Plus you can buy tickets to the aquarium valid for two days for the price of one! Unfortunately the Wifi was not... More

One of our favorite things about our stay here was hearing our GPS pronounce "Camino Aguajito"....never got old! At any rate, the salt-water pool was lovely and the location was superb (walking distance to beach and Dennis the Menace park). We had a great breakfast at the restaurant -- best huevos rancheros of the trip. The rooms were fine once... More

Very comfortable lodging. "Motor hotel" style lodging (park near your room). Restaurant has good food. Great access to activities - walk to wharf and downtown, bike to Cannery Row. WiFi was not very good.

Nothing horrible about this motel.. but nothing great either. To be honest, I felt like it was a bit of a letdown based on the pictures I saw. I know, I know.. the place is never as nice as the pictures but this place was quite a bit worse looking than the pictures in my opinion. Location is nice in... More

Stayed in upstairs room 220 in Aug 2014. Not bad if the price would be close to a motel 6 however it's certainly not that great of a hotel. It looks and feels old and the beautiful front picture on TripAdvisor showing the hotel from water really doesn't give you a sense of what this old hotel is like. That... More
