Very comfortable lodging. "Motor hotel" style lodging (park near your room). Restaurant has good food. Great access to activities - walk to wharf and downtown, bike to Cannery Row. WiFi was not very good.

Nothing horrible about this motel.. but nothing great either. To be honest, I felt like it was a bit of a letdown based on the pictures I saw. I know, I know.. the place is never as nice as the pictures but this place was quite a bit worse looking than the pictures in my opinion. Location is nice in... More

Stayed in upstairs room 220 in Aug 2014. Not bad if the price would be close to a motel 6 however it's certainly not that great of a hotel. It looks and feels old and the beautiful front picture on TripAdvisor showing the hotel from water really doesn't give you a sense of what this old hotel is like. That... More

This lodge is a top of the line motel. Nothing fancy about it, so if you are used to staying in ritzy hotels, this isn't the place for you. But if you're just looking for a place to crash after touring around town, this inn has a lot of value. The rooms were ultra-clean with no unpleasant odors (like too... More

If you're visiting Monterey this is a good and affordable lodge for one or more nights. The rooms were large and well equipped, except that they lacked air conditioning. This was compensated by an air fan, but it was quite noisy so earplugs are recommended for a good nights sleep in very comfortable beds. The wi-fi connection was free but... More

If you are booking online, you're probably seeing quotes for $240 or more. Don't get ripped offed by the Terminator! And you are safest to stay at the Motel. LOL Ten years ago I stayed at a Hotel in Seaside, nice beach, but too expensive and too far away. We probably could have spent more to stay on Cannery Row,... More

Oh Trip Advisor you REALLY let me down this time! My family has stayed in many hotels, motels and lodges during our travels and this was one of the worst experiences ever. We booked their one bedroom "Suite" (haha, painful laughter) for 229 dollars a night for two nights. It came with a kitchen and we thought it might be... More

We stayed in a King Fireplace room facing the pool. Our room was a beautiful renovated spacious surprise! Located on the outskirts of Monterey, but close enough to walk about 15-30 minutes to the pier and the downtown hub to shop. We walked home from the pier at 11pm and felt very safe. Lots of tourists out and about. Piece... More

This hotel is perfect located close to the beach and not so far away from the pier. It took about 10 min to walk down to the pier where you will find a lot of restaurants, bars. There are also the boats who takes you out on the wale safaris. An amazing experience, once in a lifetime. Back to the... More
