The title says it all. No elevator to some rooms. Separate floor mounted a/c. Front desk staff failed to notify housekeeping to make room hypoallergenic. Front desk manager polite, but I felt like I was in a SNL skit when each question I asked was denied, but she followed with "Is there anything else I can do for you Mr.... More

Very nice hotel situated very close to Monterey Downtown. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Excellent for stay in the Monterey area and visiting other near places. But, had too many taxes, fees and extra charges. Either Hotel to lower price to account for such charges or add more incentives like free breakfast. Otherwise you can find better deals nearby.

I requested a quiet room, early check-in and late check out. All was provided. The spa's in the area are booked well in advance, so we were not able to experience the spa at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Hyatt is a very Nice Hotel Nicely situated near Monterey Downtown Area. But close enough to Highway and other attractions and areas. Be aware that during this time the fog settles in early and may experience foggy days at Monterey. but few miles in each direction you can experience the Sun, Pacific coast. Big Sur, Carmel etc....

Nice location right off main highway and convenient to waterfront. Very nice lobby and overall pleasing atmosphere. Rooms are average size and bit worn. My particular room had a portable a/c unit in the room. First time I saw such arrangement. Mattress in my room was very uncomfortable and I didn't get a good rest. Unless you come to play... More

I agree with some prior reviews. A lot of the accommodation here seems below par for a Hyatt in particular the sort of pre-fab rooms which look and feel like they have been knocked up in a couple of days. Sound proofing woeful. Also a non-walkable distance from town so be aware you will need taxi or drive in to... More

We decided to come down to Monterey for a mini vacation. Check in was a breeze. But when I asked about a possible upgrade to a suite using my points, the front desk person said they were all booked for the weekend. However, when I checked on line, they had plenty of rooms available. Just odd. Didn't want to press... More

Rooms were big and comfortable. Unfortunately for us, we were only staying here for an overnight stop. There seemed to be so many activities that were available for kids to do but we were in a rush so we couldn't try them out. Overall the place was great!!!

This well layed out resort with understated signage suggesting a whiff of respectability can be best compared to a round of golf full of its usual inconsistencies. Not sure if I would take the youngsters here as the atmosphere despite the kid friendly facilities tends towards the over 30's. Euro style music trumpeting through the air of the arrivals lobby,... Stayed here for a meeting at the Naval Post Graduate school, which is a 5 minute walk away. The price was great, the service excellent, and the food was tasty. I played 18 at the Del Monte golf course, first off in the morning, finished in 2.5 hours (by myself). I loved this hotel and will go back again.
