We have stayed at the Hyatt Monterey for many, many years and we have loved it until our visit this past week. They have just completed a 60million dollar renovation which is a sorry waste of money. From start to finish we were disappointed and will definitely look for a more comfortable hotel to stay in the future. The new... more

Stayed for two nights with my wife and our three children (aged 15, 11 and 5). The hotel rooms are very modern and spacious and there are two pool areas which are very pleasant. The sports bar welcomes children until 11pm and has good food. Most staff were friendly and there is plenty of free parking. The hotel is only... more

This place is OK. I booked through Hotels.com and they charged the whole cost instantly. I thought I was getting breakfast included, but upon check in I was told that was not the case. At check out I was informed there was a $16.50 per room per night "resort fee". Huh? I got my reservation confirmation out and there it... more

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The room was very nice and the beds were just the thing after driving for 10 hours. The hotel grounds and amenities were great and the hotel staff were very friendly and courtious. The food and service at the hotel resturant was excellent. Can't wait to return! more

Our family stayed in this hotel during July 4th long weekend and will NOT return to this hotel. Two major problem this hotel has: 1. Very noisy room! You can pretty much hear everything from your neighbor. We were woken up by the upstairs guest at 6:30am. Their foot step just sounds very heavy on the floor. We can also... more

Having visited the resort before, we were pleasantly surpised with all of the recent work they have done... if you haven't seen it lately, you haven't seen it. A special thanks to the new spa and TusCA restaurant for making our stay a wonderful one with friendly and relaxed service. Service levels here have always been good in my opinion,... more

Even before checking in, Kate at the front desk was amazingly helpful and friendly. Her cheery disposition on the phone and whenwe met was so nice. I spoke with her a couple of times before visiting and she eagerly gave suggestions of things to do with the family in the area and even upgraded our room (I am a platinum... more

I stayed at the Hyatt Monterey in January 2009 for a couple of nights and I really loved it! The lobby is very cozy, the grounds are kept very well, the staff was corteous and helpful. The only negative thing I found was the "resort fee" of $ 13/night to cover valet parking and the use of the gymn. I... more

Great: The staff was friendly, smiling, helpful. Service was wonderful. Good: The hotel was clean, and extremely comfortable - everything I would expect of a four star hotel. The fitness room was terrific. The food was excellent, both in the restaurants, and at the conference I was attending. Conference coffee made in large quantities tends to be pretty bad, but... more
