Tucked away on a quite residential street, the Jabberwock is a quite unassuming gem. Sitting on a half acre, the gardens and surrounding property set the scene for the wonderland within. The details of the inn's architecture and interior design along with the history of its ownership, create a fun environment for kids or single couples alike. My wife and... More

The Jabberwock Inn (JI) has a high perch in a residential area about 5 blocks above Cannery Row, making it an easy walk to dozens of restaurants. Their (indoor) porch is a great place to relax with views of the bay off in the distance. The JI is an historic property, done in a fine craftsman style. And here the... More

Named after a nonsense poem in the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There) this place is the real wonderland. Actually, it is one of the most special and most amazing places I have ever visited. Many reviewers describe the details. Do you still hesitate (as we did), because it is rather expensive?... More

My Mother and I went to Monterey and stayed at the Jabberwock Inn. Upon arrival we were let in by a girl named Dorothy. She gave us a brief history of the inn and a little tour. The inn is decorated with a mix of antiques (very nice) and Alice in wonderland theme which is great if your 10. We... More

Very charming and beautiful inn. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. Our room had a jacuzzi and a fabulous view. There are complimentary appetizers and wine in the evening. Lovely grounds with a bocce ball court. On the downside: Disappointing breakfast and the place really is pricey (our room was $400/night including tax). If you can afford it then this... More

A beautiful old house full of Alice in Wonderland! The rooms are very comfortable. The view from the second floor Brillig room was beautiful! The breakfasts and smoothies were excellent. The best part was visiting with the other guests at 5:00 when they served complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres on the sun porch looking out towards the town. They were... More

I took my advice from TripAdvisor and was so happy. This is a place run with real love, affection and enthusiasm by the owner hosts. To arrive after a long drive to wine and freshly made appetizers to share and chat with hosts and guest on the glass sun terrace was wonderful. Every room is unique and gorgeous and many... More

The inn's hidden from its surroundings by tall hedges and trees, so you as you approach the beveled glass entry door via an old-brick walkway, you move into a 'wonderland.' After a long drive and busy day, I appreicated the wine and cheese plate that's part of the evening welcome. The decor--bourgeois life a century ago idealized--real antiques, wallpapers of... More

We had a 2 night stay in Monterrey. We found the Jabberwock Inn on Trip Advisor and were extremely delighted with the B&B. The owners Rick & Suzanne are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Upon arrival we were shown around the property which is extremely charming. Services throughout is amazing! Delightful breakfast, most amazing fresh fruit... More

Presentation and friendliness is in abundance in this charming Inn. The staff are very accommodating and make you feel at home.. An excellent breakfast which won't be surpassed. Our room was bit small and required a short walk along a corridor to the bathroom. It didn't detract too much from the experience but we wish we had taken another room..... More
