A beautiful B&B located a short walk from Cannery Row and the Monterey Aquarium. Decorated in an Alice in Wonderland theme, this welcoming inn serves gourmet breakfasts and provides lovely quest rooms with views of the bay, fireplaces and nightly milk and cookies.

Jabberwock Inn was so fun! We stayed in a tiny room on second level. It was smaller than we expected, but had spectacular views of the bay and the full Harvest Moon! Our bathroom was down the hall but private and had a key. They have us a wonderful recommendation for dinner and had cookies and milk for us when... More

We loved it! You enter the front of the property through an arched tunnel carved through a humongous bush. Then you just have to smile and say WOW! Loved the brickwork, gardens, sculptures and natural materials throughout. The 1912 architecture was preserved so it's kind of a maze of old, carefully preserved rooms, eaves, closets, hidden doors and just fun... More

This was the first experience for me enjoying a Bed And Breakfast. I have to say that it will definitely not be my last thanks to Rick and Suzanne! Arrival From the moment we arrived we were so excited! The location of the inn was perfect and absolutely beautiful! The gardens were so beautiful and also kept the inn secluded... More

We travel frequently, and stay at a lot of Bed and Breakfasts. We stayed 3 days in October and the Jabberwock Inn was truly a treat and a wonderful place to stay, definitely amongst our all time favorites (maybe even the best! …. or certainly close to it!!) Breakfasts were gourmet, and the happy hour well appreciated after busy days.... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in October and cannot recommend it highly enough. We stayed in a room called Toves which has a private patio and whirlpool bath. It is next to the kitchen but that is not a problem as the staff are so quiet in the morning. The owners run the B and B... More

We spent 4 wonderful days at the Jabberwick Inn in September. Rick and Suzanne ( the oweners) and Charisse and Tiffany (staff) did everything possible to make us welcome and comfortable. From the gourmet breakfast to the wine and cheese happy hour everything was prepared and served with great care. The Inn itself and the lovely garden areas are a... More

We stayed there in July this year, and were very impressed with the single-mindedness of the place! Breakfasts were very good, and the staff were very attentive. Our room however was very small for a double, and our bathroom was down the corridor (although we had exclusive use.) Monterey itself we enjoyed, and it was easy to visit other places... More

The Jabberwock Inn is a lovely quirky house styled around the story of Alice in Wonderland. It is slightly more expensive than some B&B's but they include a lot of extras. Each afternoon tea and coffee and cookies are available, in your room you will find a small decanter of brandy and each evening between 5 and 6pm they offer... More

We have been coming to the jabberwock for the last 25 years and have seen it change hands three times. Unfortunately the last stay over the Monteray Jazz festival weekend in September 2014 was disappointing. The draw of an historic building and all its antiques has always been there. And the food has always been wonderful. But the most important... More
