A friend and I had the good fortune to stay in the new Tumtum Tree room. It is outside in the backyard, built into a cluster of tall trees. It isn't really a room because it is a separate structure from the rest of the B&B. And it isn't really a room because it is has a bedroom, a living... More

It's been a while since we've been here, but we always like to think back to the time we spent there. Please chose this b&b when you come to monterey. It's got this personal atmosphere, great breakfast, cozy rooms and wonderful hosts. We would always go back!

It's a beautiful and charming place, kept and maintain at the highest level. The innkeepers are kind, warm and very helpful. We were party of 3 and stayed at the Tumtum cottage which we really loved. It is specious, welcoming, highly equipped, decorated to the last details and very convenient. Breakfast was also excellent. We highly recommend

Very nice BnB, short walking distance from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We booked on short notice and they only had a tiny room available under the roof. It says private bathroom, but as the glass shower is right in your room, privacy is to be defined... Very nice, freshly prepared breakfast and also nice touch with free wine and cheese... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a road trip and it was the best place of the whole trip. The house is beautiful and we received a very warm welcome. We stayed in the Tugley Wood which is quite a small room but really pretty. We didn't have an ensuite bathroom but our own bathroom down the hall, but... More

First the good things: extremely charming and welcoming hosts, attractive and cozy communal areas, great breakfast, clever theme maintained with good taste throughout i.e. not overdone, very nice suite with fireplace. On the negative side: expensive for what you get. Some petty stuff: the library is on the skimpy side, would benefit from a larger selection of books, the hummingbird... More

We arrived at the Jabberwock Inn as part of a California road trip. It was by far the highlight of all our accommodation. from the excellent welcome, to the canopes and brandy in the room. Our hosts made us feel very welcome, the bedroom was incredible with a jaccussi at the end of the bed! we will definitely be coming... More

We were a little apprehensive after booking the Jabberwock Inn as it was quite different to other hotels we had booked for our Nevada/California trip. This apprehension soon disappeared after arriving. We were greeted by Rick who made us feel very welcome and helped us with our luggage. Our room (Brillig) was a good size with a view of the... This was my second trip to this darling B&B. I stayed here once while traveling alone 25 years ago (in 1990) when it first opened, and decided to come back with my fiancé as part of my 50th birthday celebration. This darling "Alive In Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass" themed Craftsman style home is beautiful beyond belief! Decorated with period piece... More
