From the second you arrive you will be impressed by the attention to detail - everything that a top class hotel should be. Amazing welcome from the staff outside and at Reception. Hotel itself is beautifully fitted, and I recommend you book a room with a sea view because you will literally be on the ocean, you can lie in... More

In June, I traveled from NYC to Monterrey, to attend a wedding. I wanted to stay in this hotel because it looked perfect for me. Upon arriving from the long flight and car ride I was immediately transported to a modernist's version of a Steinbeck novel. Views of the water abounded, as did cannery life, and the hotel fits in... We just returned from a week long trip up the coast. We had planned to stay at the Intercontinental on the last 2 nights as a special ending to our family trip. I made the unfortunate mistake of booking this stay through the Expedia website. The photos are very misleading and we came away VERY disappointed with our stay. We... More

Location is good. Easy walk to aquarium. Views nice but not quite spectacular. Rooms nice but not luxurious. Restaurant not really family friendly. Again very pricey. Exquisite clam clowder - best any of us had ever had. Rest of menu in the adventurous/ unusual/weird category and we were all disappointed with our different choices.

Loved, loved this hotel. Location can not be beat. Right on the water and next to the aquarium, shops, restaurants. Staff was very friendly. If you purchase your aquarium tickets through them they are good for 2 days for the price of one. Well worth it if you have little kids who run out of patience. We had a standard... More

We only stayed here one night on our way to see the redwoods up north. It's a great place to stay--our room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. We love that it's in the middle of everything, so you don't have to walk too far to get a good dinner, go to the beach, aquarium, etc. We were... More

We toured 8 IHG properties during our road trip at the West Coast. I must say, the Clement was by far the best what we have experienced. From arrival to departure it was just outstanding. The Valet was 23 $ which is a steal compared to other hotels. Friendly helpful and fast. Front Office personal was just what you dream... More

If you're looking to be in the most tourist accessible area of Monterey, this is the place for you. Front desk service and quality of the rooms are the highlight of this hotel. It's located near many touristy shops and some so-so restaurants. For excellent restaurants, walk up to Central Street and dine at Il Vecchio or go to the older... More

Great hotel. Wonderful staff. We are even paid up Ambassador Gold members because of our great experiences here. We stay here at least three weekends a year sometimes more. Tried to make a reservation for Labor Day weekend. Extreme price gouging. $660 for Sat night alone and that was a standard room without taxes which when added would take it... More

Dear Mark J, Thank you for your recent feedback on TripAdvisor. As you have been a loyal repeat guest and an IHG Gold Ambassador, we are extremely concerned with your posting relating to our higher rates over the last 3-day weekend of the year, Labor Day. This holiday is highest demand, and we apologize that the rates were higher than... More
