My husband and I were originally planning on a mini-break in San Francisco, however we changed our plans to Monterey after I got sick the week before and wanted a more low-key "recovery" trip. One thing I really wanted for this trip was an oceanfront room. I wanted to be able to sit out on my balcony with my morning... More

The location of this Hotel directly bay side on Cannery Row , makes it the ideal home base for exploring this gorgeous part of the central coast. The outdoor patio areas with seating around three fire pits are a lovely place to sip some local wine in the evening. You have several great restaurants within a short walk. Including the "C"... More

Six of us took two adjacent, weekday rooms at this great location at Cannery Row, Monterey across from Bubba Gump's Restaurant The location is great for tourists but the rooms were dirty (black hair in the sinks!), the pool was smaller than half my apartment living room and outdoors, and the restaurant though it had pleasant popular music was overpriced.... Our first visit to Monterey so we chose this hotel in part for its beautiful location on Cannery Row. It's a large, well appointed hotel. Our room was large, immaculately clean, and bright. Great bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower, and nice toiletries provided. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming - TJ on reception was a big... More

We stayed two nights in a two bedded partial ocean view room with our two Grand Kids and it was plenty of room. Luxury at it's best. HD TV, movies, best breakfast right on the water. The desk staff and bellmen were always asking us how things were going. Only thing is pool area could be renovated. Lots of white... More

Would have loved to stay more than one night at Intercontinental Monterey. It is a very well run hotel which feels both luxurious and cosy. We were lucky to be upgraded to an ocean-view room which had a french balcony overlooking the patio and ocean. It also contained a gas-operated fireplace. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated and everything... More

I stay here every time I have a meeting or event in (or near) Cannery Row. The service is consistent, not totally personal but very kind and professional. The grounds are spotless and very tasteful. I usually try to get a room with a fireplace and a view of the street. Love the bathroom with fresh orchids too! The fitness... More

Spring break and birthday celebration so we bucked up for the one bedroom suite. Wow, great room overlooking the water, two fireplaces, two bathrooms, comfy bed (hide-a bed was standard comfort for such a beast for our teenager), etc. Service was great. Room was very quiet and did not hear any noise from the boardwalk just outside our side window.... More

We hadn't been to Monterey for years when a special event we were attending in nearby Carmel brought us back to this historic town for a bit of nostalgia. Fortunately, we chose to stay at InterContinental The Clement Monterey. What a perfect choice! From our greeting at the door, to the check-in process, to our beautifully appointed room with fireplace... More

Was disappointed in our stay here. Picked this hotel because of amenities, prior experience with Intercontinental hotels and of course location near the aquarium. We stayed 3 nights, paid full normal price (no hotel.com or discount booking) and ate at the restaurant for 2 breakfasts and one dinner. The pros: 1. right next to the aquarium 2. good view of...
