We showed up in Jenner on Labor Day weekend without a hotel - typical. The nice people at Rivers End suggested this place and phoned ahead for us,. They had 1 room that was vacated early so we took it.It is a very cute little lodge - hasn't changed from about the 50s. It was clean and sufficient - at... More

The hotel is nicely located right on the shores of a shallow section of the Russian River. It's not too far from Guerneville and other access spots to the river. However, Herb, the owner, was quite snarky when we checked in and I made sure to let him know I didn't appreciate that. I said he should be nicer to... More

Great little find. It is a historic hotel and has been recently remodeled (2006). The rooms are what you would expect from a hotel this age. Small. No closets and ours had the sink in the room. with the bathroom the toilet and tub/shower. I'd estimate the size about 12 x 10. But the hardwood floors, room colors are nice... More

The Highland Dell Lodge is the perfect Russian River getaway - great location right on the river. It has an excellent restaurant on the premises (closed Wednesday & Thursday), and the lodge offers a decent complimentary breakfast buffet. Lots of restaurants in the area, also only a short drive to wine tasting and coastal activities. The downside for me was... More

This, by far, was one of the most pleasant trips I have ever taken. The scenery is breathtaking, and that is even before you pull up to this historic lodge. The owners immediately made me feel welcome and at home. My room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the river. The room was comfortable and truly made me feel like I... More

We stayed here over 4th of July weekend. We have friends nearby, so spent most of our time with them at their place, but slept at Highland Dell. The grounds are very rustic and sweet. Just what you'd expect from a River hotel. Great location. We had the two room suite with balcony. The rooms are nice, but basic. No... More

The hotel is nice looking and very clean. Since it is rustic, the small rooms (smaller than cruise ship cabins) are no problem. The thin walls permitted me and my wife to enjoy our neighbors conversations, which were humorous. They provide high def TVs, but on a pay per view basis. Anything you want to see, costs per hour. We... More

I stayed here with my Family for 2 nights. This a typical forest lodge in a beautiful setting in the redwoods. We had a room with a small bacony facing the river. Room was very clean and perfect for our short stay. We were visiting my parents who have a small cabin near by. We spent mostly all day and... More

Great room and historic too nestled in the peaceful woods. We found this lodge to be just perfect for our visit and after our overnight stay wished we had a few more days to enjoy there! Rooms were roomy, spotless and so comfortable with a great view of the river below. The breakfast was plentiful and so good....eggs, yogurt, sausage... More

I recently had the pleasure to stay at ths wonderful historic hotel for three nights with the wife and grand kids. The rooms were older( historic) small but clean, bathroom updated and had a balcony with a river view. Breakfast every morning was included with attention towards the children. The menu varied but mostly scrambled eggs, bagels, bacon and even... More
