The hostel stay was the highlight of a fall west coast trip. The private room came with a world-class view. It was convenient for coastal exploration. But I hardly needed to go anywhere because the views were amazing. I will definitely return.

We stayed for one night in this hostel and it was perfect. This place is really super charming with the lighthouse, the cliff and the beach. It is perfect for a family with children, friends travelling together, or solitary souls. Shared kitchen, dining spaces and living room create a good and friendly atmosphere in the dorm part. A 30-minute drive... More

This is a great destination doable without a car. From San Francisco take BART subway to Daly City. Catch bus 110 to Linda Mar park and ride lot. Then , take Bus 17 to 7th and Main. Walk a few blocks (half mile) to the hostel. Read their directions online. Perfect. You can drive there too and park easily. Ask... More

Absolutely lovely location, the views were amazing but apart from that there is not a lot to say. As two young travellers staying for a couple of nights we almost lost our minds. The weather was not in our favour and no activities were put on by the hostel. Other guests included a few older people and school groups. I... More

Their private rooms have the perfect view looking north over the ocean and beaches. They are clean, cute and cozy with a bathroom shared just between two of the rooms. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There aren't many lodges that double as a working lighthouse on a beautiful point, with a private beach for such a wonderful value!

I only wish I could have had a private room. The views are breathtaking! It was my first time in a hostel, and it was a great place to start. The people were helpful, the facilities and kitchens clean and the meditation was interesting.

There are high end hotels that cannot boast such a location. From up on the cliff, I could see and hear the waves were crashing outside my window, with no obstructions. I stayed in one of the private rooms which can sleep one to two adults and probably one or more kids. Mind you, it has less floor space than... More

I was in the area on business and preferred to stay at this hostel instead of motel room. I stayed in a dorm room all three nights and slept well. The common rooms were large and comfortable with beautiful ocean views. On one of the nights this area was over run with several young families using both kitchens to make... More

I had stayed here back in 2002, and came back with my family this time around. This is a unique accommodation option, not much like anything else. It’s a bit on the Spartan side (they provide you with a set of sheets for your room and ask you to return them when you check out), but staff was very friendly,... More
