My husband and I have stayed at the Goose and Turrets B&B several times. It is our "go-to" place to get away from our "big city" life. The owners are gracious and responsive to our needs, as well as extremely informative re: restaurants in the area. A very nice tea is served in the late afternoon in their pleasant, somewhat... More

Thank you for your kind review. You seem to understand what we try to do and appreciate that approach. Do come back soon - the garden and greenhouse are flourishing with fresh herbs and veggies. Emily Hoche-Mong More

I'm seeing some of the other reviews for this place and seriously have to question where these people were staying; I found Emily and Raymond to be fantastic in every regard possible. I legitimately felt like a welcomed guest in their house. And what a house! It's funky in all the right ways while still managing to feel cozy and... More

Thank you for your perceptive review. Yes, the people you identified did travel together and did not ever eat the "cheap food" breakfast. We loved having you here and hope you will return. Goose & Turrets lives in an old building - c. 1907 - and has had many incarnations: from grocery and post office to Spanish American War Veterans... More

This very quaint, historical inn provides such a wonderful retreat in a quiet rural community very close to San Francisco. The Inn Keepers, Raymond and Emily, are exceptionally interesting people who really enjoy welcoming their guests and sharing afternoon tea over conversation and discussion. I was also very impressed by the InnKeepers' concerns for food preferences and allergies. The Inn... More

We stayed at this place for one night and I think we made a terrible mistake. We called the owners and told them that we won't be able to attend the breakfast. The next morning the owner came by and yelled at us for not telling them in advance. He insulted us in every way possible. I was so sorry... More

The hosts are terrible at best, they will try to intrude your privacy.the food they offer is of lowest quality.since the hotel is remotely located and nobody knows about it in neighbourhood, hosts are weirdos.you may find urself trapped inside.i would not advise anyone to go there.these people change their behaviour when u check out and you Vl be overcharged

Very awkward experience , not at all as pictured , outside is pretty run down and over grown . Very musty smell inside . Was told when we arrived breakfast is served promptly at 9 am and coffee not until 8:30 am ( was not out till 8:45) the decor in the clipper room pretty hookie with PVC pipe for... More

We spent a long weekend with the goose and turrets in Montero. The hosts were very gracious and accommodated gluten free dietary needs with advanced notice. The property is roughly 100 years old and has migrated from being a municipal building to a private residence. The backyard has enormous hedges that give the property a hobbit-like feel in the back.... More

Enjoyed my short getaway at the historic building, with the lovely hosts, beautiful gardens, and charming suite - the Goose Room. Breakfast with great teas and dishes along with a lively conversation with fellow guests and the hosts was a great start to the day. The entire experience was a treat. Hope to get back some day.

We recently stayed here. The coast was foggy but being here was a treat. Enjoyed the owners and all the history that surrounds this inn. So many comforts and lots of antiques. Breakfast was outstanding and enjoyable.

We had a very fine experience at the Goose and Turrets. The food was excellent. Our bedroom-bathroom was just what we needed. The owners generously allowed our daughter and son in law to partake of afternoon tea with us. The owners are very experienced with the world, and we got to hear about their first hand experiences in Finland and... More
