Great spot for families traveling in the redwoods. Poll, horse shoes, ping pong, basketball, and trails. Kitchen units. The wood cabinets in ours were beautiful. Kitchen area outshined the rest of the room. relaxing place. Patio was nice and fairly secluded. Smell from neighboring dumpster put a damper on the patio when there was a westerly breeze. Room can bet... More

We just finished a 7 day stay at Miranda Gardens. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating! They even said they would miss us after we left. New furniture arrived while we were there, so updates are being made. Built in 1929, some things can't (and shouldn't) be changed or updated! This is not a commercialized hotel chain so if... More

This was a great place to stay in the redwoods! Had a playground and pool for our 5 yr old to enjoy after being stuck in the car all the way from San Francisco. The restaurant across the street was good as well!

We stayed at Miranda Gardens for just one night and had a nice time. The rooms are a little bit "old school" but have a comfy bed and enough space. The fact that the cabins have a private patio also is a plus. Even breakfast was nice, first time we were offered bagels. Can recommend the hotel. And don't forget... More

We think it is the best place to stay in humbolt state park...why? because you are surrounded by redwoods and it is in a small village with a decent restaurant across the street. quiet place, all sorts of choices (rooms or a full cottage) Nice staff ,clean rooms and grounds.

After a long drive we were warmly welcomed by Sue and shown our comfortable chalet which we found to be spotlessly clean. If we were to grumble it would be that we found the shower a little problematic to use. The site is a collection of small chalets with a small children's playground and a swimming pool with a number... More

My boyfriend loved the place but I thought it was dark and depressing. The large trees were beautiful but did not let in any light to the cabin. The cabin was decorated with antiques which I am not fond of. The heater was stuck on and kept the place hot. Overall, our cabin was clean, comfortable and roomy. It had... More

My family stayed in cabin #8, the biggest one. It had a huge whirlpool tub and had fireplace which heated up the whole cottage during the wet, cold rainy nights. We loved stretching out on a real couch, cooking in a full kitchen, roasting hotdogs on the bbq grill, and sitting at a full size table. (After 4 nights of... More

Our cabin was very clean and much more spacious than we were expecting. My only complaint is that the heater wasn't working very well. The thermostat was set on 70 when we arrived, but the temp inside said 86 and the heater would not stop running. It took a very long time to cool down and then would just come... More
