So glad we stayed here instead of in the chain hotel down the road in Garberville. This motel is just lovely. It's been around for many years but has been carefully updated with modern amenities. There are several cabins with different lay-outs. We rented cabin #8, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Plenty of room for me, my husband and... More

The grounds at this hotel are beautifully cared for. The cabins are clean and the staff is very helpful and kind. We love how close to the Redwoods we were and very much enjoyed our stay. This would be a great place to stay if you have kids and wanted to save money by cooking in your own cabin. They... More

Hubby and I went for 2 nights over memorial day weekend for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay somewhere in the redwoods. I happened upon this place as there was not a 3 night minimum and they are dog friendly. I didn't know what to expect based on the online photos but once we arrived, I was... More

There are 11 little cabins of varying sizes that have been lovingly restored. We stayed in #10 which was perfect for a couple (although a hideaway bed was available). Bathroom, tiny living area and small kitchen on one level; one step up to a nice sized bedroom with a comfy king bed. Kitchen has a microwave, apartment sized range and... More

We stayed in cottage 1. for a few days and we had a good time. We were a little worried because cottage 1. looks very close to the road and smaller than other units on the map, but it turned out to be reasonably secluded (there are hedges and trees of course) and rather large. The bathroom is spacius, with... More

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and were pleasantly surprised with the charm and privacy of our cottages. As you might imagine, a vintage property takes constant upgrading and attention. We are fortunate to have a staff that cares about the resort and strives for the best service and product you could choose. And of course, being in the... More

As per the reviews, nice, clean and quiet. Rooms are large and clean. Decor is rustic, and surroundings very nice. We stayed in 14 (road facing) but if possible, book early and get the forest views! Convenient, as there is a gas station, restaurant, and general store right across the street. You are early in the Ave of the Giants,... More

Review is of facility and not location. Stayed in unit 2A. Very dated but adequate and clean. I'd recommend extraction fan in bathroom be replaced - I didn't use it as it was annoyingly noisy. No fireplace but nice heater. I'd recommend a space heater in bathroom that was really cold. Great to have a bathtub though. Save water? As... More

Miranda Gardens Resort was the exact escape I needed from work and the noise of the city. The scenery is gorgeous and so are the rooms. I stayed in Cabin 14 and it was extremely well maintained. It felt like walking into a hotel room with our own kitchenette. It’s perfectly located next to several amazing trails, Eel River, and... More

Cute cabins nestled in tall, beautiful trees. Older units, but clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. There is a family style restaurant across the street. The food was good. WE want to stay there again.

This is a fantastic little place. Easy driving distance to anything in the redwoods. We went to fern Canyon and the scenic Parkway which are only about 2 hours further north. The landscaping is very nice especially for the winter time. Our cabin was getting painted so she moved us to the biggest cabin number 8. It was great. Big... More
