We found this hostel near highway 140 in the forests. Friendly reception staff. We got a small family room with 2 bunk beds, had shared restrooms etc. Actually quite nice to have a different experience and get again some camping feeling. Try it yourself, it's worth it!

The staff at Yosemite Bug at cheerful, welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. For me the menus for meals were limited and it takes a while to travel into Yosemite and back out again each day. The site is not next to anything else, do you cannot really wander.

I loved staying here. It's really convenient for Yosemite and affordable. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's clean and everything you need and want from a hostel. It has a spa too!! The food in the lodge is amazing value and big portions. Highly recommend.

When I first drove up I saw a giant fire ring and there were a number of people sitting around it. It was advertised as being 20 minutes from Yosemite Park, it was to the very edge, more like an hour away from Yosemite Village. I stayed in a tent with an electric light and a fan. There was a... I traveled with my 3 small children. I suggest Buffalo. You can park close by & very limited steps. Bonus! No shared walls so you don't have to worry about upsetting anyone. Although Buffalo "B" doesn't have AC it's a swamp cooler so it wasn't working very well on the hot muggy night I was there. The bathroom was in... More

Stayed there two nights on a yosemitee trip. The location to my mind is awesome - rustic, cozy and charming if you like wood and thr outdoors. Mobil reception wasnt the best but its ok to leave the world for two days :-) Small kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a simple meal. I recommend something to plug... More

I stayed there for 2 nights with friends while visting Yosemite. Whole place looks very cool. And it is really rustic. We had a buffalo B room. In theory this room is for up to 4 occupants but it is so small that I think it should be for 2. Room and bathroom which we shared with Buffalo A room... More

We stayed here for 1 night while visiting Yosemite. The entrance is quite hidden so we drove past and had to circle back. We stayed in a room with shared bath with the room next door. The room and bath were both very clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the cafe and the food was very good and reasonably... More

My husband & I stayed for 3x nights in a private cabin (shared bathroom) - it was a spacious well appointed cabin, yet also v cosy at night. Yes they are set up high meaning it's a few flights of stairs to walk up - but it was lovely to be up high in the trees in the morning with... More

Be sure and read the description of this resort and note that it is rustic, worn, and the hike/climb from the parking lot to your room is strenuous. There are very long walks to the bathroom and almost no chance of taking a shower in the morning or evening. There is only one for many people. There is no room... More
