I stayed there for 2 nights with friends while visting Yosemite. Whole place looks very cool. And it is really rustic. We had a buffalo B room. In theory this room is for up to 4 occupants but it is so small that I think it should be for 2. Room and bathroom which we shared with Buffalo A room... More

We stayed here for 1 night while visiting Yosemite. The entrance is quite hidden so we drove past and had to circle back. We stayed in a room with shared bath with the room next door. The room and bath were both very clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the cafe and the food was very good and reasonably... More

My husband & I stayed for 3x nights in a private cabin (shared bathroom) - it was a spacious well appointed cabin, yet also v cosy at night. Yes they are set up high meaning it's a few flights of stairs to walk up - but it was lovely to be up high in the trees in the morning with... More

Be sure and read the description of this resort and note that it is rustic, worn, and the hike/climb from the parking lot to your room is strenuous. There are very long walks to the bathroom and almost no chance of taking a shower in the morning or evening. There is only one for many people. There is no room... More

I staid for a week at the Bug. Although it's definitely a charming place, I wasn't blown away. Maybe the great reviews had set the expectations a bit too high. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend. I booked the 12p dorm, which is probably the cheapest option around Yosemite (except for camping). You can't expect too much for... More

This place is not for families or older people. The so called cabins are no more than tents and access is hard. You have to be very careful with the rotten steps to 'cabins'. The food in the restaurant is good though. You have to walk up or down a number of steps outside to get to the toilets. There... More

I would go there for the food even if I could not hike very far. There is a bus that takes you to Yosemite. Bring something to read or your own music not much going on at night. Just bunk beds nothing special but you will not get this kind of food in Yosemite.

I loved this hostel, surrounded by nature, clean rooms and a great price. We stayed in a shared room and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was clean and in the table we found some free candy, loved it. I totally recommend it for it's location, restaurant-bar area, cleanness and super nice staff. Great to stay if you want... We spent 1 night in a tent, 2 nights in the dorm. Both were clean and well kept. The area is quiet, although the airco in the dorm produced some noise during the night. Don't expect here a 5* resort. It's basic but ok. Staff is friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant is good and the hammock a... More

The Yosemite Bug puts the R in Rustic. We are regular Yosemite visitors and decided to try something different. While the Yosemite Bug is comfortable it just wasn't for us. My best advice is to set your expectations based on what you want to get out of your stay. The property is more hostel than hotel. We had a room... More
