This is a lovely hostel that's also part of Hostelling International, and is about 45 minutes (due to winding roads) from Yosemite NP's western Arch Rock Entrance. We got there at night after a long day of hiking, so the place looked quite romantic with guests clustered around a bonfire, and hillside cabins sprinkled throughout the trees. We had reservations... The location is the best. It's about an hour from Yosemite Village, but the drive is worth it. Cute grounds with bug theme. There are cabins and dorms. I went with friends and we chose to stay in the dorm. The memory foam beds were the best ever of all the hostels I've stayed in. They do have a spa... More

We were looking for a reasonable place to stay between Merced and Yosemite Valley because we were going to a wedding in Catheys Valley and we also wanted to do some walks in Yosemite. The Yosemite Bug is about 10 miles east of Mariposa in the foothills. It is primarily a hostel , but does have rooms with private baths.... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Yosemite Bug Hostel, I booked a tent cabin and this was really pleasant. They provide extra quilts so the cool nights were not a problem. My favourite part of the stay was the delicious, healthy food at the Cafe. I would have stayed longer to try more food if I could! They even... More

You are about 45 minutes by car from the main entrance to the park. The private rooms in the cabins are basic, clean with comfortable beds and we were lucky, things were quiet. The shared kitchen and dinning area is a dump. Yes, it has everything you need to prepare meals and plenty of storage for your food, including refrigeration,... More

This is a unique little resort, as the title indicates, rustic mountain resort, but they have accommodations for all budgets. They have dormitories, tent cabins, regular cabins and motel rooms. I have stayed in a tent cabin at one time and then stayed in a motel room that was like a cabin with a bathroom that is shared with the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a road trip recently and I have to say it was the accommodation I was most concerned about and that really exceeded my expectations! Very easy check in process and they advised us where to park the car so that we were as near as possible. I had expected basic camping... More

I didn't stay here but I booked a room after talking extensively with a young man on the phone about what they offer in regards to my needs and having a dog with me earlier in the day. I arrived and it was obvious he left out key details. The room was not going to work for me. If only... More

I stayed here in Jan 15 in a Heated Tent Cabin. The place was very good for the price - the only caveat was the distance from the road. If you are travelling by the YARTS bus service instead of a car, be prepared for a not fun 10~15 min uphill walk from the bus stop, which is very very... More
