We were in Palo Alto to visit family & decided to go with a less pricey hotel since we wouldn't be there that much & we figured we could spend the money we saved on the grands. We have always had reasonably good experiences at Best Westerns & so chose this hotel (also closest to family.) One absolute must for... more

Stayed there for three nights while going to Stanford Hospital, not too bad.. told them that I would be coming back to hospital in two weeks and they said that we could have the same rate. When I returned they raised the rate $20.00 a nite. I reminded them of our conversation and that I would be returning every other... more

In an area bereft of sanely-priced lodgings the BW Riviera may be the best choice in a limited lineup. Absent nearby Hampton Inns or Marriott Courtyards, this may be the best place --albeit an overpriced one-- to spend a couple of nights. The adequately refurbished rooms can't hide their 60s-70s vintage. Self-serve breakfast right off the reception desk is the... more

I stayed in this hotel for one night prior to a meeting at Stanford. Previous reviews had me a bit worried, but I found the hotel to be very comfortable. It was the best price I could find close to Stanford. Check-in was fast and efficient, even on a night when they were sold out. It is like an "upscale... more

Faciltiy is nice; staff smiles ... But, during my entire stay (3 nights) had no internet access ... at the heart of Silicon Valley! Within 15 min of my arrival, I told the front desk I had no internet access (LAN cable) in the room. Eventually, they had me talk to their provider (conclusion "probably the wall jack"). Meanwhile another... more

My check-in was pretty uneventful, but getting to the office involves parking in an parking lot with tiny spaces, surrounded by concrete and when the place is near capacity there are not enough parking spaces. The second night I was at the place I returned to my room rather late (11:20pm), and found out there was no where to park... more

I've chosen this hotel as there were not many choices in Menlo park. Pros: walking distance to the shopping centre with its restaurants, free wireless, free breakfast, coffee, iron, hair-dryer, mouthwash, microwave. Cons: noise from El Camino, breakfast very modest, very small eating room. Staff: helpful, and with a real smile. more

We arrived in Menlo Park without reservations and drove down El Camino Real looking for a decent place to stay. The Best Western looked appealing from the street and we were not disappointed. The desk clerk was very helpful with checking in and with driving directions. The room was clean and quiet. The air conditioner cooled the room quickly. Overall... more

I was having some tests at Standford and had to find a place to stay close by. The staff and help were very friendly and nice. The rooms were kept very clean and I found the hotel to be a pleasant stay. more

I stayed here in May 2005 and I was very disappointed. I assumed since it was located next to the Stanford Park Hotel (my first choice but booked)and the Stanford Shopping Plaza it would be nicer. We arrived after a day of shopping at the plaza and were "upgraded" to a suite because the motel was full. I wish I... more
