I would probably not stay here again. The location was close to Stanford and the place was clean and staff was very nice. HOWEVER, the rooms were very small, bed not comfortable, and it was extremely noisy. There were a large group of students also staying there that were very loud well into the night (until 2:30 am to be... More

I was very pleasantly surprised by my recent stay. The hotel exterior is very clean and well maintained with nice landscaping. There is a bistro table and two chairs outside every room. My room was spotless and the bathroom was spacious and upgraded. There was a microwave and a new-ish, almost apartment-sized refrigerator. The air conditioning worked great and the... More

Clean hotel room, had a microwave and refrigerator, near Stanford Hospital. They will give a hospital discount if you or family member is hospitalized at Stanford. A little traffic noise because it is on the El Camino, so be prepared. Has a garage underground to park your vehicle, could be difficult to park a large SUV if the lot starts... More

Not really what was expecting considering 400 USD per night cost. For that cost, might as well stay at Westin Palo Alto, just down the road. The rooms are good and clean, but very noisy from the railway line just nearby and from the people walking on the rooms above. The breakfast area is tinny at reception. The staff is... More

This hotel bordering Menlo Park/Palo Alto cities is nicely located next to the Stanford Court Shopping Mall (very upscale shopping) good restaurants and the Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. It is a well kept hotel with a fitness area - three machines and a weight machine. Has a nice breakfast in the mornings. Staff is helpful with reservations and directions.... More

I had planned to stay at this hotel for 2 weeks, but left after 2 days. Clearly, Best Western is willing to label any dump "Plus" Like many of the hotels in the area, it is right on El Camino Real. It was VERY noisey -- there are many hotels on this street that are significantly quieter. The room was... More

I'm sure this is a supply & demand issue, but at $269 per night, I expected something more than a barely updated hotel from the 70's. Windows do not seem to be updated enough to keep out the train noise. The elevator from the under building parking (only a few spots for a big sub) was a bit scary, big... More

This motel is pleasant looking and has a great location near the campus but is very noisy and expensive. The staff are concerned and helpful, the breakfast mainly pre-packaged and with few healthy choices.

Pro: My favorite place to stay (having stayed at 4 other hotel/motels in the area)--many hotels in the area will charge extra for wifi and/or parking, so be careful to read the fine print. Con: the heating unit is tucked away under the sink in the bathroom and did not efficiently heat the rest of the room.

The Best Western Riviera is convenient to Stanford, located just two blocks from the Stanford Shopping Center. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. My room had recently been remodeled (apparently remodeling is continuing). It was clean and comfortable, with microwave, refrigerator, TV, and Internet, but it was not huge. The self-serve breakfast had a good selection of food,... More
