For those qualified to stay at the Stanford Guest House, the recommendation is to sign up as fast as you can. Like virtually everything the university does, smart folks tore down the operation of a hotel and built it back the Stanford way – excellent in all respects. Here’s why this guest house works: -- The overall design and operation... More

My son is works at Stanford, so I visit often. I like to stay at the guest houses because they are convenient, clean, safe, and reliable. They are not luxurious, but if you need a quiet, basic room to stay in they are great for the price. They offer a free breakfast and shuttle to spots around campus as well.... More

Recently, I stayed 4 nights here in a 2 bed room which from the room map is considerably larger than the smaller, 1 bed rooms. The room is a bit cramped and the bathroom is small with a shower stall, toliet and sink. The first room I checked in to was a bit dirty with used toiletries. I was quickly... More

After a six day stay it was very much like a dorm with friends. The rooms are small but laid out well. The rooms with two beds are substantially larger and worth the additional cost if you have much luggage or if there are two of you. The rooms with a single bed are comfortable, modern and well appointed. The... More

We stayed here for one night - the night before our doctor visits at Stanford. We were totally impressed. Clean, safe, convenient. Small room, but had everything one could need. The little extras make the difference....breakfast, 24 hour coffee/hot chocolate, sitting/tv room, shuttle to Stanford. The girls at the desk were professional and welcoming. Would def. stay here again, and... More

Stayed here for a few days last week. This is a great place for those visiting Stanford. It's not a luxury hotel (no restaurants, no entertainment and don't expect a grand lobby) but accommodations and guest service are excellent. Also come with free wifi and continental breakfast and self-help to coffee/tea in the kitchen 24/7. I paid $135/night but I... More

This hotel is small and quaint with excellent service. The rooms/beds are very comfortable. The staff is great. They have a great van service that transports guest to the campus or cal-trans for free. Wonderful inexpensive place to stay.

Stayed for 4 nights while attending recent Stanford Homecoming. It was a good price for the Palo Alto / Menlo Park area, and the rooms were clean, staff were friendly. I believe guests need to have a Stanford affiliation / reason to stay at the Guest House, e.g., attending conferences, or families checking out the campus for their kids college... More

I stayed in this hotel for two-weeks and was happy with the facilities and services provided. The price is high (I paid 115 dollars per night) but is similar to what is charged by other hotels in the area. The room is small but clean and with wi-fi, tv and hairdryer. There is a small gym with cardio machines and... More

Stayed here while attending a conference. There are regular buses (free) between the Guest House & the Stanford campus which is several miles away. There is also a shuttle just for those staying at the Guest House, reserve a spot the day before if you are trying to get to campus between 7:30 am - 9:00 am as those are... More
