It is actually my fourth time at Stanford Inn and I still believe that it offers one of the greatest values for its price in the area. It is in a great location, at walking distance between stanford, palo alto and menlo park. Most rooms are spatious and offer basic comfort. When rating this hotel, reviewers should definitely keep in... More

My boyfriend and I had a horrible experience from the start! We arrived around 10pm and I went to the "front desk" to get our keys... No one was there, but I spotted an envelope with my name on it. I opened it and found a key for room #4... As I turned around to spot our destination, I saw... More

I could have overlooked many of the cons for this hotel if it weren't for the non-functional deadbolt and a window that didn't close completely. Pros: This hotel is close enough to walk to the Stanford shopping center, but it's along haul to the hospitals or main campus if you're walking. Short car or bike ride. Spacious room with kitchen.... Not quite sure where to start... The room/apartment was huge but very dirty. Like many of the experiences described here, I checked the sheets, and checked the mattress for bed bugs (which, thankfully, I didn't find). There were holes in the walls, mould in many places, dirty surfaces everywhere, a number of unrecognizable insects, and stains on the carpet and... More

I was completely satisfied with my stay here. I was looking for something reasonably priced given the expense of the area, and I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the rooms are here. I only paid $110 per night, but it felt like being in an apartment. I think the other posters have tremendous expectations for a place that charges... More

The staff on the front desk - or window - were welcoming enought but this is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. The carpets are stained, the bed linen doesn't look clean, the road out the front is noisy. I can't find anything nice to say about this place - and it isn't cheap. I'm looking forward... More
