Plenty of parking, quiet and 2-3 blocks away from the center of Mendocino town (which makes it quiet, yet only a 5-minute stroll to town center), ocean views from the upstairs dining room, nice staff, and a great value. While the FREE breakfast is very basic, it's still free but there are paid options in town. (I don't see why... More

We stayed for a weekend. I got a reasonably priced GROUPON for this place. This property needs some serious renovation. There were small spiders in the restroom. Floor was squeaky (we were in the 2nd floor). Breakfast is simply terrible ( breakfast area is nice though with an ocean view). No wireless internet in the room. Serious problem with the... More

We stayed here for less than 24 hours. They call themselves a Bed and Breakfast, but it's hotel...and very old hotel. When we were in Mendocino it was getting hit hard by storms, so electricity was out in most of the town, but they did have electricity, for a while. When the electricity finally did go out we didn't hear... More

We were very disappointed in our stay. We had reserved 3 nights for our anniversary, and left after 2 nights. The "continental breakfast" they advertise was bagel, toast, cold cereal, apples, orange juice that was never stirred so it was colored water when I pored a glass. The rate was good for weekend in Mendocino but the value was not... More

We have stayed here several times. This time was disappointing. It was reasonably price for Mendocino, but it needs some repairs. Their continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. We like Mendocino and the area around there, and we will be back to that area again. hopefully by then things well change. The dinning room is closed, so you... More

This hotel was quite reasonably priced for Mendocino, but it fell short in several areas during our recent stay. Dining room in the main house has a nice view when skies are clear, but the continental breakfast was sparse with only packaged cereal, pastry and bagels. Garden room was large, but had issues with the heating unit and it never... More

For many vacationers, Mendocino is off the beaten track. For those who don’t mind some winding roads to get to this fabulous North Coast oasis, the rewards are great. Walk around the bluffs west of town and you will enjoy views that will take your breath away. A delightful place to stop for a night or longer is the Hill... More

My husband, our 2 dogs and I stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a good option for us, not too expensive, allowed dogs and close to town. While the room was a bit worn and the bathroom floor was a bit squishy, we enjoyed our stay. Don't expect much from the continental breakfast, but the dining room has... More

This hotel close to Mendocino looks very promising as you arrive. The lobby and public areas are quite attractive, and it looks like someone's old home. Unfortunately, it needs some updating and maintenance. The room was clean and comfortable, but the building outside looked worn and in need of a facelift. A decent breakfast was provided, but in an odd... More

We approached the lovely gardens and Victorian architecture with hopeful eyes. As we entered the lobby these hopes were shattered. The room smelled of age and there was sand in our bed sheets ( we did not put it there). This place has seen better days and I would highly recommend NOT bunking here for the night despite the low...
