I'm really torn as I write this review, this is one of those places that has much to love, but enough to tarnish that feeling. My wife and I had a nice room in the main house, spacious and comfortable, with a sitting nook and a fireplace we used every night. The room was somewhat modernized, but retained the charm... More

Hi, and I'm kinda torn about saying thank you for this review, but thank you :). You said a lot of the good things that people who like our place say about it, the vibe, the food, the comfort. I do need to paint the front porch and will the Tuesday after Labor Day if you want to come back.... More

Wonderful location and staff! Stayed in room 61 for a comfortable night of jetted hot tub, fireplace, and a cozy queen-size bed. After hiking all day in the awe-inspiring cliffs, parks, and trails of Mendicino county, this old Victorian bed and breakfast was an incredible luxury! Expensive? Not for the area. Though the initial price of room 61 was $210,... More

Hi! Our place is comfortable and not fancy but eclectically cool. Our prices are fair, more than fair if you eat the breakfast :) Loving our Breakfast, people! Come back Soon. Loving-Kindness Charles @ Didjeridoo More

Mendocino is definitely worth a visit. Off all the villages along the coast, it has the most individual and authentic feel. Not everybody may like the mix of art, spirituality and purely economic interests. The same is true for this B&B. We like to stay at small B&Bs, but expect a minimal standard (plastic fire place, non-working TV, no water... More

We stayed two nights and had a lovely room with jacuzzi and a very nice fireplace, both of which we took advantage of. The breakfast was fantastic both days, and the owner was very helpful, suggesting local bike rides that we took advantage of (Big River). The hippie vibe will turn off the OCD crowd but we had a lovely... More

We came to Mendocino on a whim, we called Charles and he happily saved us a room on a busy weekend before end of summer. The Didjeridoo has so much character and life, we loved that they are dog friendly and very personable, sitting in the lobby with guests and the owner Charles with great conversation. Walking distance to everything... More

In four words: Do not stay here. The owner of this property is a bit combative so, I expect him to respond accordingly. We stayed for 2 nights in room 67 (as I discovered, this room was commented on by someone else earlier). My reasons for our not so favorable comments are: - the appearance of the property is run... Our Inn is Beautiful and $150 per night on a summer weekend is a good price for Mendocino. You wrote that you should have stayed in a motel in Fort Bragg. I agree. You are not Mendo B&B kind of people. You are motel in Fort Bragg kind of people. The Didjeridoo is a home built in 1881. We do... More

We recently stayed one night at the DD Inn and really enjoyed it. The internet was down for the entire area due to an accident in the county so I cannot comment on the Wi Fi, etc. Overall, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the larger rooms, Room 76, and there was plenty of space.... More

Thanks for the Great review. Me and the girls are really tired of getting beat up by the people who wanted the most fancy B&B in the world but choose us, the best vibe B&B in the world. Thanks again. Loving-Kindness Charles @ Didjeridoo More

Unlike other reviewers, I didn't think the inn was overpriced as Mendocino is right on the water and accommodations and restaurants are priced as such. I had my reservations when I walked into the main house which was a little cluttered and had a heap of laundry on the sofa, has kind of a hippie vibe. Our bedroom and private... More

From the photos we saw on the site we expected a nice room. Our carpet was filthy and stained. I wore sandals so as not to walk on it. There were layers and layers of cobwebs between the curtains and ceiling. The window frame had enormous spider webs with a large variety of dead bugs caught in them (SEE PICS).There... More

Hi. I am very sorry there were spider webs on the outside of the window sill in the room you stayed in (67), spider webs happen quickly and we try and keep them away. 67 does have our worst stained carpet but it is not dirty it is stained (there is a difference). 65 was our worst stained room but... The Inn needs a major major overhaul. The guests were noisy . The room was very run down but the linen was clean. The bed was uncomfortable. At least the lousy night's sleep was made up for by a delicious breakfast cooked by the very friendly and personable inn keeper. Rooms should be priced at less than half of what... More

Hi! Thanks for the nice bad review. I'm really glad you enjoyed the breakfast and sorry you slept bad. You are a Giant man and do not look like you would fit in a queen size bed, I bet you were uncomfortable. If you decide to stay here again I would suggest paying $185. and getting one of our Great...
