This inn has a really nice vibe, excellent restaurant, nice gardens, and well designed rooms. The location is a block or two from the ocean. A place that truly takes pride in providing a wonderful stay.

For a last-minute stop in Mendocino the MacCallum House was a great find. We got the last available room in the house, right above the restaurant. Pros: Clean Spacious bedroom with large bathroom Bathroom has separate shower and bath tub Comfortable queen-size bed with good quality linens Good quality towels and bathrobes Coffee maker and small fridge Free Wi-Fi Breakfast... We had a comfotable if slightly cramped one night stay in room 11 for two adults and two teenagers. The beds were great as was the bathroom and we enjoyed the novelty of our own hot tub. The room was very clean with good attention to detail. Only downside to room 11 was the lack of a view. We were... More

Every room is different so be sure to enjoy the descriptions on their website. We booked a lesser expensive room, #7, the Gazebo PlayHouse with detached private bathroom. The bedroom was very small but the bed was extremely comfortable. We absolutely loved sitting out on our deck and watching people stroll Albion Street in front of us. When we return... More

Mendocino is a lovely place to visit, and this is a good place to pick for an overnight stay. The house itself is quaint, and surrounded by lovely gardens. We stayed in the Water Tower which despite the 2 double rooms is, in hindsight, more suited to a family than 2 couples. However, it was clean and comfortable and you... More

We stayed at MacCallum House Inn for two days during our recent trip to Mendocino. It is a lovely place, with excellent staff. Our room (a cottage with a private hot tub) was clean and well furnished. Although the cottage is "dog friendly," there was no hint of prior pet guests (no smell; wooden floor rather than rugs, etc). Excellent... More

When booking our stay we missed the information that the suites was located 500 meters uphill from the inn. But room #30 has a fantastic view over the Mendocino bay. All day long you can sit on the private balcony and enjoy the pacific waves braking on the cliffs. Complementary breakfast does not include Cafe latte nor orange juice. I... More

We absolutely loved our stay at MacCallum. We originally only booked for one night, but liked it so much that we extended for a second, so we stayed in two different rooms. The first night we were in the suites building, which is a quarter mile up the road from the main inn. The building is lovely and we enjoyed... More

Second time we stayed here, a little problem on check in but soon ironed out and we enjoyed a very comfortable night in one of the cottage type rooms away from the main property. Dinner was great and the staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast is always good here too. The bar is well stocked and the hosts try very... More

Highly recommend this historic, quaint inn located in the heart of Mendocino. Everything is within walking distance though leaving the charming grounds may not be high on your list of priorities. The restaurant is delightful and housed in an incredible space. Nightly specials from pastas, seafood, even a cocktail, make it easy to spend each meal on property. Proprietor Herman... More
