The MacCallum house is very quaint. It's on a street that doesn't even look like you should drive on it's so narrow, and people walk everywhere. The main house was very nice, we had dinner there and the dining room was amazing with it's two fireplaces and very romantic feel. Food and service was great! We stayed at the Mendocino... more

We stayed in the Abbey Blair, which is not in the main house but right next to it. I personally really enjoyed the private hot tub and the wood-burning stove. It's true that without those two things it would have been just another small room in a B&B, but as it was we found it totally charming. We were also... more

Attended a wedding for a friend at the MacCallum House last weekend. We had an excellent experience the entire time we were there. Our room was very nice. The wedding itself a ton of fun. The staff handling the entire event perfectly. Service and food were top notch. The Mojitos and Basil Pom Lemon Drop the bartender was making were... more

I’ll begin this review by providing the context that I’m not a “Bed and Breakfast” kind of guy. “Bed and Breakfast fandom” is, I believe, an acquired taste. But, if you want to lodge in Mendocino, B&B's are pretty much your only choice. We stayed in the Mendocino Village Inn (part of the MacCallum House operation). We were in the... more

A beautiful bed and breakfast that has seen better days. The first room they showed us was in an attic that had wallpaper peeling off the walls, was cramped and had a scary staircase to navigate to get to the bathroom (at one point there is only a rope you have to grab for support). The room we stayed in... more

The service and people at the Inn are very nice and friendly. Your breakfast is included in the price of the room which you get a gourmet breakfast that would cost $50 if you ate out. so just remember that the food is excellent so it is like taking $50 off the price of the room. There is an excellent organic... more

My husband and I recently moved to the bay area and had never been north of the golden gate bridge. A few months ago we went to a ReEmployment Seminar at the W Hotel in San Francisco that was hosted by the MacCallum House. The was really imformative presentations about the current job market and we were one of the... more

My husband and I rarely get away by ourselves, so when we did finally get the chance we decided to travel from the bay area to Mendocino. While walking through the beautiful ocean village we stumbled upon the MacCallum House. The reservationist was very pleasant and helpful and let us view a variety of different rooms and we finally settled... more

I have never been as moved by a hotel before to write on this site! I am British so have a natural aversion to complaining but my experience here has made me feel I have to warn others. Having read other reviews on this site it would appear that if you stay in the main house your experience might have... more

After many years of travelling, this has got to be the WORST place I have EVER stayed in. Do NOT be fooled by the pictures on the website. The rooms are absolutely tiny, you can literally crawl around the bed, the rooms themselves are ancient, the windows are cracked and dirty, the bed sheets are like something in your grandmother's... more
