Very clean, comfortable king bed & room, could hear & see the ocean From our room. Too warm to use the fireplace, warmer than usual early Oct, but nice to have one if it was cooler! Close to historic downtown by car.

The Inn is located several blocks from the business district, but in Mendocino that is a very short drive. The room we had was larger than a typical hotel room, but had a very aged feel and could use updating. It is adjacent to single family homes and very quiet and comfortable. There is no restaurant on site, but brownies... More

I feel like we stayed at a different place than other reviewers. Many praise the warmth of the welcome, the welcome pack, even complimentary wine or champagne. Our reception was courteous and businesslike, no more nor less. The food provided (2 cakes and 2 chocolate cookies in plastic bags) was nice enough....but that's not a welcome pack it's your breakfast.... More

We stayed one night here and really would have stayed a second night, but it was booked. We stayed in the Sweets room, which had 2 beds. It was very large and clean, the beds were comfy and there were snacks in the room. The motel has an old West theme, with various storefronts "Barbershop" "Saloon", etc. Each room is... More

Anyone visiting Mendocino will know that this charming community has beautiful B&Bs and inns, and most of them are on the spendy side. The Blackberry Inn, just up the hill from the town center, is charming AND affordable. The inn is set up as though it were a small western town: adjoining units have a "bank", a "hatshop", a "jail",... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our romantic 3 day, 2 night get-away at the Blackberry Inn. We were warmly greeted by Melissa (Co-Mgr) at check-in. Since this was an exclusive event for us, we were given a bottle of wine to celebrate our occasion. Our room, called the Millinery, was clean, warm and comfortable with a Mendocino coast/ocean view. The evenings were... More

Very charming establishment with individually themed rooms, which are based on the wild west. Unfortunately, the rooms don't seem private since you are eye to eye with the parking and walkways. The charm of the rooms and the free treats are enough to take your mind off of the above mentioned issue (just remember to not leave you curtain too... More

The Blackberry Inn is located on the east side of Highway 1 within the town of Mendocino. It has been redone as a charming little western town. Each room's exterior has a different name like Barber Shop, Saloon, Millenary Shop, etc. Really cute. The owners/managers are lovely people. Very very warm and friendly. They have fruit and coffee available in... More

Aside from very stained and dirty carpets in our Barber Shop room, we enjoyed this quaint inn on the mountain side of the highway. Friendly staff welcomed us when we checked in, and in our room there was a basket of baked goods including two cookies and two tiny loaves of delicious lemon-blueberry bread. Only problem was there were three... More

I was traveling down the California coast with my children for the first time. We had no arranged plans and booked a room an hour before arriving, without any recommendations. We were extremely surprised when we arrived. The place is very nice has a very original decoration. The owner was very very kind and the room impeccable. Good side, sea... More
