This past trip to Agate Cove in Mendocino was out eight time staying -- given we are from out of state that is saying a lot! Whenever we are in Northern California Agate Cove is on our agenda and would recommend the "Garnet" room for the value. This past trip we even brought all our friends! The people who run the Inn are amazingly friendly. From the warm welcome on arrival to the way they deal with any minor issue, they were always so helpful. Given the very high price of the room, we had very high expectations & mostly they were met: clean & lovely room; friendly staff; beautiful grounds with fantastic view of ocean. I loved everything about this B & B except one thing - the traffic noise. We stayed in Zircon, right next to Moonstone which are the closest cottages to busy highway 1 - the highway runs right against the back of the property.
