We arrived about an hour before the normal check in time but the inn keepers accomodated us right away and provided some great chocolate chip cookies. We stayed in the two room suite and found it be spacious and nicely decorated. We had a delicious breakfast of apple pancakes and fruit the next morning and enjoyed the company of the... more

We arrived at 3:30pm and were surprised to find no-one in attendance ; however, the innkeeper was soon on hand after we phoned. The room, up a long flight of stairs, was very nice and comfortable, but we could not get the internet connection to work, which, apparently, happens with some rooms. The bathroom fan did not work. The breakfast... more

One of the nicer bed and breakfasts we have stayed at. The rooms are separated and quiet -- it's a large house. The cookies at night are great. The rooms are extremely comfortable. Downsides: McCloud is not the center of the universe -- you'll likely end up in Shasta for dinner. You aren't on a river. But we'd certainly stay... more

Best stay on our whole roadtrip. The inn and the setting are both stunning. Very upscale and classy, but still very comfortable, and they were happy to accommodate our (well-behaved) kids. I can’t say if it’s better or worse than any other in the area, but we’ll probably never find out because next time we get back to McCloud we’ll... more

My lovely young bride and I celebrated our 53rd anniversary in the town of McCloud, CA. Our two night stay at the McCloud River Inn will be with us always. The hostess is a very warm and friendly lady. The room, Room 4, was everything we expected from the pictures we had seen on-line. really enjoyed the Jacuzzi and also... more

My teenage daughter and I spent the night here on our vacation. We were looking for some place near Mount Shasta. This was a great choice! The Inn is so quaint. The furnishings are lovely! Very nice attention to details. The Innkeeper - Ursula, was so friendly and helpful. She is a wonderful cook! Breakfast was delicious! Fruit and yogurt,... more

We just retruned from a night at McCloud River Inn. Very cozy, charming inn! Check-in was a breeze with ample parking and fresh chocolate chip cookies an added bonus! Our room (number 2) was wonderful, but note that there is only a shower - not a tub. :-) Nice touches of fresh flowers and hershey kisses throughout the room! The... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night and were very pleased with the accommodations. The room we had, which was spotless, was on the second floor away from the other guest rooms, and was very quiet for us; an important issue when we travel. The oversize in-room jetted tub was very relaxing after a long drive. Coffee was... more
