We loved our little getaway in McCloud, just a short distance from Mt. Shasta. The room was quaint, large, clean and quiet. Loved the complimentary breakfast each morning, prepared and served by the owners. So friendly and personal! We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed two nights in a double queen (the only one) on the second floor overlooking the back garden. Pricing was reasonable. The room itself was very large and very comfortable. Beds were good. The bathroom had both a tub and shower (if you stay in this room watch out getting into and out of the shower which has a... More

This was our first B&B experience and it didn't disappoint. I will say that the room we stayed in looked a bit different from the picture online -- the floor and walls were totally different. So I would recommend updating the pictures to what the rooms actually look like now. That said, the room was still charming. The owners were... More

This hotel has always intrigued me, so it was time to book a stay. I was very pleased - spacious room, quiet (even though it faced Main Street), beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable, with little touches to add to a pleasant stay. Even though the hotel was built in 1915, the rooms are up to date and have all the... More

We just spent two wonderful nights here, and as luck would have it, McCloud was celebrating their annual Mushroom Festival. While the latter was quaint, yet also surprisingly informative, the care we received from Nancy and Robert at the Hotel was first rate: fine food, with a careful attention to what they can do well. The rooms appear to be... More

McCloud Hotel and Bed and Breakfast had been recommended to us by a friend. We decided to try it and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is wonderfully quaint, well decorated and very clean. We had a delicious dinner there and a great breakfast. We are definitely planning to go back.

This little town has been diminished by the loss of the lumber mill, and all that remains are the B & B's and a few shops. But the clarity of the air, the lovely scenery make the visit worthwhile. The Hotel is a grand reminder of the good old days in McCloud. The rooms are tasteful done, sheets are high... More

For being my first B&B, I did not know what to expect. Robert and Nancy (owners) were very warming and welcoming. The suite was big and beds very comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing. For a old but beautiful building, the view was crazy cool. Walking off the front porch, MountShasta to the right, I could not have asked for... More

Driving to Portland or Seattle from the Bay Area? Take time to treat yourself to an overnight at this wonderful hotel just nine miles off Interstate 5 on Highway 89. The sign outside reads “Historic Hospitality” which is exactly what the innkeepers deliver: beautifully decorated rooms, a gathering area with comfortable chairs, books and magazines, and fire place, wine in... Wow! This is a nice B & B, reasonably priced at $128. to $200. The rooms are big and in period decoration at the early part of 1900's. It has 16 rooms and the building is about 25,000 square feet for those who care. The innkeepers, Robert and Nancy Short know how to run an inn, with previous experience of... More
